    • RE: Idea for WhatApp on ubports

      @UKPhil @te-online
      mmmmm i fully agree with a realistic way of productivity. if the mobile-device would be 100% pure linux to the core, it is a noble ambition. but there are not enough codewriter to fix this. i can be wrong and i hope that pure librem had a great success. but its mostly the usabilty of a device-os, thats let grow a big comunity.
      on one hand we have only a few codewriter ( me as example bloody newcomer) on the other hand we have a lot of work to do that the ubports-os stay alive with new hardware, browser-compatibiliy, new harder specifications of firewalls, ssl-protocols, android/libhybris.....
      whatsapp is a big thing. stupid question: why is it not possible to send wahtsapps to telegram and backwards?

      @cherrie
      on amd64 (standard pc) and raspberry
      i would test [teamviewer](https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/How-do-I-install-TeamViewer-on-my-Linux-distribution/ta-p/4351#toc-hId-764334519 url)

      i testet it by install the teamviewer-host.deb for raspbian to bq5..pushing the teamviewer- daemon to run...and than run the teamviewer setup...but..no internet-connection was found by the teamviewer-host so..... i try gurus way.
      for me it was fun to see that the teamviewer runs ...not the big solution...trying 🙂

      are there any suggestions in the ubports-verse about this ? ( are there a migthy one how have expierience with teamviewer on ubport-touch???)

      to your topic printing-work by canonical/ota3?......for me, pdf printing is all i need 🙂
      is there a reference- printer to deal with?
      i only ask because working with printer-drivers is often a neverending story. or would we send in future printjobs by this way over halium/googleprint? so the workload on drivers could, maybee be outsourced to company google/googleprint.

    • RE: Future core phones

      @Lakota your right. thats realy important.a bigger fanbase of a phone makes it easier to find and convince people to use community-driven ubport-images. i hope that the most people like
      not-so-expensive-phones more 😉 only for fairphone i would spend more money ( open source and development )

      @TischlerWilly mmm .
      i recognized a good audio. ok there and here a little break in the line..there you right.. but not very bad.
      its counts a lot on the network-connection you use. maybee its to smal? germany's broadband network is not the best standard. only in parts with enough fibre-optics and wire, if iam right here.

      next idea would be to spend a more expensive conference-system 😉 donations welcome ::)

      never tried it, but "if" teamviewer ( german ubu page) would run on ubutouch-os ? only an intention / idea.

      i am not in the update- team. 🙂 bq- devices are not core devices. but supportet with security- patches. i think you allready watched this link but if not you find a lot of this here:

      devices

      there are a lot of comments about bq-devices here in the forum too. if you watch the ubport-youtube q&a videos you find even informations about bq-devices.

      yes thats normal. bq4.5 are only security updates.
      same by me. (owner of a bq5). thats not a bad sign. good software needs not every week a update. for me its a bad thing if i would become every week new updates. new updates means every time new software with new stuff but in the same time..with new bugs. thats a matter of workload. if i make more updates available, i must fix eventually more bugs. the ubport-guys are very
      responsible-minded in this. so dont worry . the updates are comming if they needed. 😉
