@Lakotaubp I suppose the bluetooth issue is a minor glitch seeing as the phone can't be used on 4G here in the US anyway

RE: One Plus 6 Qualcomm crash dump mode
If the roll back doesn't work and the crash dump screen is persistent, you will need the msm download tool to restore it. It works and restores to stock. It is a oneplus too I think. Good luck

20.04 on OP6T
I see 20.04 dev is available for OP6T, has anyone tried it out?

RE: Cannot 'forget' Bluetooth Device
I am not very informed on the workings of a cell phone and what it takes to make one work correctly, but I had a Samsung SG6 something or other with Windows phone 7 at least 10 years ago that the bluetooth headset had pause/play or answer/end, and volume up/down and a voice assistant that flawlessly announced text messages and I could reply by voice alone.
UT cannot run bluetooth with a pause/play function? I know I am oversimplifying it but it seems as though that was figured out a long time ago. I am disappointed is all. Handsfree bluetooth is a deal breaker for me. I need it to function in order to carry the device. Well I had it for a short time anyway.
Any idea if and when it's might return?

Well, that will be bad.
Well, that is simply how software development works. Things get developed and tested, and sometimes decisions need to be made that if some things bring improvement to a certain use case, but breaks other existing use cases.
I get it, but the button control of BT was a big plus that finally showed up. Oh well.

RE: *UPDATED* USA: T-Mobile (and MVNO) settings for a fully functional UT device
@rik I saw your posts on Telegram and figured I would give this a try. I had just reflashed my OP6T back to android 12 to peddle on Ebay, so I reflashed to UT and find no change from what I had before, Calls in and out, SMS in and out, no MMS at all. I have it in 2G on US Mobile.
Do you have any other MODS on the device? I had done some fiddling to the phone before but it's all stock UT now. I have a Pixel 3A but I cannot try it on US Mobile as it was supposed to be unlocked but it only works on AT&T so I cannot try that one.

@mw4jet Sorry to say but those changes for buttons might be reverted since we faced a ton of regressions lately with upgrade to Bluetooth...
Well, that will be bad.

RE: Cannot 'forget' Bluetooth Device
@flohack I did not use BT much because the pause/play buttons on my headset did not work, but now they work, but as for the bug, I will try what stanwood above posted. My desire to have a working UT device that I can at least do something like that in terminal is one reason it's attractive.
I wish I could help in its development but I am not a coder in any sense of the word! LoL

@mw4jet Thank you, I will let you know how it goes.

RE: Swype keyboard for UT?
@emphrath said in Swype keyboard for UT?:
@777funk ooo this is old discussion material right there ^^ we are too few people interested - that would require quite the coding endeavor while core parts of the OS still need some work
Exactly, while I use swiftkey or swipe on IOS and prefer it to pecking at the keyboard!
I would rather the manhours go to the operation of VOIP and essential functions of the device.

RE: Cannot 'forget' Bluetooth Device
Well, I found the device list by using terminal and SSH, going to
"bluetoothctl devices"
My question is where is that file and can I edit it to remove the none functioning device and it's MAC address?

Cannot 'forget' Bluetooth Device
I was attempting to pair a Bluetooth device and and it failed to connect. I now have an entry in Bluetooth devices for the failed to pair device, but the forget device button is greyed out.
Other entries have the button that is not greyed out so it is only related to this device. It has a connect button but it fails to connect.
I want to remove it so I can repair it, which I have had it paired before, so I know it works.
Can I go to terminal and find these devices and remove that entry?
I am on RC V53 OnePlus 6T

RE: Unable to install on OnePlus 6
I had the same thing on OP6T, rocket2infinity answered in Telegram, Welcome and Install page on Sep 13th, but here it is in a nutshell : "No need to install it. Just boot into TWRP after unlocking bootloader and setting USB permissions under developer settings in Android. Then wipe cache and data. Reboot to fastboot, then run installer without rebooting back to Android"
It worked for me.

RE: ATT (H2O) No Service with Nexus 5. Anything I can do?
@777funk I have US Mobile which is T-Mobile GSM LTE. I am running a OP6T and can make and receive calls, send and receive SMS but no MMS. It is set to use the 2G network.

20.04 Pixel 3A
Flashed my Pixel 3a to 20.04 again. I inserted an AT&T prepaid sim in for grins and I can send and receive SMS but no MMS. It is showing it is in LTE. No calls work. Cannot switch to 2G as I read AT&T deactivated their 2G network. I was surprised.
As for general use, it seems to work pretty good but I have not used it a lot.

@ian Thank you Ian, I tried to search but couldn't say it in a way to return any web pages that what I was getting at.
It worked with single quotes.

Accessing Artist Folders in terminal
This seems pretty basic, but I have a folder in Music on my device that I cannot delete with the device connected to windoz file explorer. I have switched to Ubuntu on terminal, I have ssh'ed into the device and am in the Music folder. The folders with a space, like between a first name and a last name I cannot access, it returns the error "no such file or directory exists" even though I type just as shown when I list the folder contents. Is there a special character I should use in place of the Space?
I can access the folder(directory) with a single word title....

RE: Battery Discharge When Off OP6T
I shut it down from the fastboot menu and it booted normally with just the power button, thanks again for all inputs here.
