Suddenly several Messages, written on the Desktop-Signal, occured on the OPO, now it works.
So far no more crashes.
The last mystery: On the OPO is now an old Test-Group with an Icon like a single contact ( just a letter) not like the "Group-Icon".

Short update:
After updating to 0.9.5. and de- and reinstalling Signal on my Laptop some things are working:

First i saw that it was (!) possible to send and receive on the OPO.
So i reinstalled Signal-Desktop, before i had deleted (purge signal-desktop) it on my Laptop. After reinstalling suddenly the contacts and a group, created on my OPO appeared. Sending and receiving on the Desktop works, but:
unfortunally Axolotl now chrashes every time i trie to start it on the OPO...

some days ago i installed Axolotl on my OPO ( 16.04, OTA15, stable) and have some Problems to the extend that it is unusable.

First the things that work on the OPO:

• i am successfully registered
• i added one contact manually and send and receive messages with this contact
• another person contacted me via Signal and i can answer
• i installed Signal on my PC ( Kubuntu 20.04)
• i successfull added the PC as device in Axolotl

Now the Problems:

• one contact (of course registered) is added, but messages are marked with an triangle and exclamation mark. I am not able to send or receive messages with this contact
• i cannot create a group. I can add contacts to a new group, but after entering an Name for this group, when choosing „create group“ the Name is deleted and no group is added. Sometimes Axolotl shifts to the contact list.
• when i try to import contacts on the PC Axolotl crashes. After that Axolotl crashes several times when i try to start new.
• after reinstalling sending/receiving is impossible (see below)

After deinstalling, then deleting cache and config with UT Tweak and reinstalling ( now 0.9.4, before 0.9.3. ) the Problems are still the same, but in addition i cannot send messages to the contacts that worked before...

Is there a way to get it started?

Today i:

1. Deleted the network on the Android Device and turned it off

2. unplugged the router, waited 5 minutes

3. plugged the router in and waited until both indicators (power/DSL and WiFi) were steady

4. Turned the Android on.

5. the network was visible to the Android, entered the PW and had internet access

6. Load factory settings on the router 7530

7. tried to connect the OPO with the router (which has now another name)

8. failed to connect the OPO like before

9. went in the basement, took the old router (7360)

10. entered the PW of the old network on my OPO, had access

I bought the new router because i had trouble with randomly failing connections to DSL.
My provider said its not his fault, my eyes said its not my cable, so i thought: try another router.
In the morning not only my OPO was a real pain, but also the DSL connection failed more than ever…So tomorrow i will return the 7530. Meanwhile i enjoy surfing on the OPO using the old router until DSL fails again.

All Devices are WiFi connected. Only for setting up i connected my Laptop by LAN. There were no changes neither on the router nor the OPO while while i was out. The only thing: i used the OPO with data connection searching the internet.

Currently the data connection is off ( i tried both ways) only WiFi is on.

I will try the "Android Test " tomorrow.

Both frequencies are enabled, my pc is on 5GHz.

Hi,

1. The device was listed as "non-connected", i deleted the Device from the List and tried again, nothing.
2. No, the SSID name hasn't changed
3. "Networkname visible" is ticked
4. "Allow all new Devices" is ticked.

The Indicator on the router blinks, but no connection is made, i'm asked 3 times for the PW , then the indicator stops blinking.

Hi, i have a OPO with 16.04 (OTA 12). Two days ago i bought and set up a new Router (FritzBox 7530).
Connecting the Phone was no Problem, choose the right network/router, enter the PW ,done. Internet access via Router was working.

Yesterday me and my phone left the house. Since we returned i have no Internet access via Router:
First there was no network-icon. After choosing the Router in the settings the Network-Icon was there, but "empty", in the Settings it is said the network is "connected". After a short while i'm asked to enter the PW (again), but nothing changes. The Router says there is no connection to the Phone.

I rebooted several times, "forgot" the Network, but no success. What to do next?

Miracles happen...i deleted the "bad" message, and now it seems to work again. I should have tried this before

Hi, the past few days i can't receive any textmessages. Incoming messages are shortly displayed as notification, but when i enter the Message-App they are not there. I have an OPO with 16.04 OTA-11. But it started on rc Version 73. I tried to send a message, but it remaid grey, showing the loading icon. I thought i could solve the problem by switching the channel but nothing changed. Any suggestions?

@advocatux My OPO came from 15.04/r3 stable. I used the UBports-Installer for the 16.04/rc. In the UBp-Installer i said "No" to the wipe option. I had to choose it , the default setting was "Yes"

@lakotaubp , oh,overlap, didnt read your post. I opened a topic with the solution which worked for me. No special effort was needed.

just for fun (and maybe others have the same issue) i want to report a solved problem: After flashing my OPO with 16.04/rc i want to revive my exitisting Telegram Account. When i tapped the Icon Telegram started and want me to insert my Phone-number. I tried several times and nothing happens. Just the circle spinning...So i deinstalled Telegram and reinstalled it from OpenStore (the unoffical Version, not the WebApp).No deleting of special folders: And then? No asking for numbers, my Account recovered to health.

@lakotaubp First it reached the recovery mode ( screen with several options to choose). I choosed restart (only because i dont know what to do, no hint at this stage), then it stopped while downloading saying "Yieks" and the installer-update is needed. I hope i remember it right...
Second time it went through without any trouble (choosing "restart" in recovery) or asking for updates.
Thanks, for the Link, but, by the way, i have trouble get my Telegram-Account started. Maybe i have to start another topic...

Second attempt worked. OPO is successfully flashed with 16.04/rc without updating the installer. Many thanks to all involved in UT!

Hi ,
i tried installing 16.04/rc on my OPO ( r3) using the Ubports-installer. When i run the installer there is a message, an Update is available, and later in the process of flashing the OPO, the installation stops. When i try to update the installer ( on Ubuntu18.04 ) with "snap refresh ubports-installer --stable" it says there is no update... So, is there an update ( and how to get it?) or should i try again?
