@lakotaubp I have done wifi and mobile data, wifi only, and mobile data only.

@lakotaubp yes I checked all the boxes in UT Tweak tools when clearing unav.

@lakotaubp Cleared the cache and uninstalled unav installed after reboot.

Still having the same issue where it starts me about 20 to 30 miles away from my current position.

Currently on OTA 5 Stable
tested with map box and others

I dont really want to wipe my phone to much invested into it.

Just an update
1)Checked the hardware nothing about seems damaged
2)No the new unav updates didn't fix the issue

issue here: doesn't find my location.

Scanning around the forum it seems other people with nexus 5 have the same issue. As seen here

I am just wondering if people who have a nexus 5 could kindly test to see if you get correct location because I starting to think its a bug and not a hardware issue.

Specifically test on OTA 5

@lakotaubp I have time settings set to atomatic it list a town thats about 12 minutes away from me as the time zone.

As for the radio upgrade Yes I have done that already.

Dont really know what else it could be because it just seems gps doesnt work anywhere In my home state it seems.

@obacht I have tried many combination cellular on/off, wifi on/off , and both same issue. Appear in same spot never exact location. It worked out of state tho when I was in Nevada.

Sadly still no correct location.

1)Gave Clock gps access (cleared cache with UT Tool) says I am in Greenville? thats like 4 days drive. I noticed that in settings menu for time in ub touch it says correct area.

2. Waited 20 minutes for UNAV Sadly still sames same area. Even when I initiate gps to go somewhere it starts me in that area not where I actually am not at.

Do you think its the cellular issues I mentioned in first post that mess with gps location? (Currently tested with wifi and cellular data).

No cover at all its wierd when I am at home it says I am at university. In town it says I am somewhere 3 hours away. Its just never finds my location.

Sadly I tried this just went around town location data on. Unav running, even told it to never suspend on with ut tweek tool. Sadly when I checked my current location it told me I was currently at an amusement park which in my area is about 50 miles away. Was running for about 3 hours like this always same starting spot.

Here are some issues I am currently having. Just wondering if other nexus 5 owners are going through.

****1) For me UNAV just doesn't recognize my current position at all. It always tells me I am like at my university while I am actually like 10 miles or so away. I did go out of state to Nevada where out of curiosity it told me exactly where I was correctly. I have refreshed cache with ut tools, left location data on, ran unav in background it just never works. Especially when trying to use gps it set starting position in california when I actually was in Utah?

2) My Cellular data is not consistent always going to unregistered or denied some times. Only works in certain locations. Especially frustrating when it auto disconnects in ones pocket and won't reconnect by itself to initial carrier in my Case T-Mobile.

Extra: I am currently on OTA 5 and noticed with the Morph Browser, It broke compatibility with the app UTmedia It launches but won't load a video any more. Just wondering what's the current eta for local video playback on nexus 5. It still does the green and purple colour effect when playing video.

Love the os just thought I list some of the issues I am going through. For contexts my nexus 5 is full refurbished by me and I have many more spare parts for it. Thanks.

@advocatux Sensory app says "source has no error'. Mentions lat and longitude, and method satellite.

Sadly it always says I am at my university versus where I am actually somewhere else. Also cleared up my cache with ut tweek tool to see if it does anything sadly same issue.

@lakotaubp Read it. I don't really have any wifi issues. Mostly just celluar issues. Its always disconnecting where ever I go. Works beautifully only in select areas like my university outside. When I enter a building or my car its completely gone. My other phone works indoors and everywhere.

Sorry if I seem like I am complaining. Love the phone os Just wondering if others have this same issue it if its just me.

I have tried to use the gps in town also but sadly never works either.

@lakotaubp I have also done that tutorial also got solid connection for about 10 minutes then same issue then proceeds to lose connection.

Dont really know what it could be.

Off topic is uNav still being worked on? It seems to never know my location. It seems to be always miles away from my current position.

Hi I am new to the forum and I have been having the same issue here on 16.04 stable with my nexus 5. It seems to always lose mobile cellular connection all the time. When I enter a car, go to the first floor of my house, etc.

It seems to only maintain connection in some areas like 2nd floor of my house. WiFi works perfectly.

-For info it doesn't lose connection on android and I have moved the sim to other phones and it works perfectly. Also I have personally restored this nexus 5 and cellular network is T mobile

Just wondering if anybody else has these issues.
