@Moem Sent email. Waiting to hear back. I'm guessing you're right, cheap provider.

@Moem I thought about that. Did try making calls by switching off data and WiFi. But no success.

    • RE: UT not supporting Intel chip based phones?

@arubislander Just a thought. Asus has some with Atom chips. If I were a developer I'd rather try to work on a touch friendly Linux version to fit into the mobile phones. So the uniformity remains. To do so I presume Intel chips are more compayible to work with.

Btw is Pixel 3a no longer supported? i just bought one and installed UT.

    • UT not supporting Intel chip based phones?

Why so few Intel chip based phones are supported by UT? Aren't those more compatible? Just curious.

I have a feeling UT will run far better on iPhone. Ubuntu on Macbook is quite impressive.

    • RE: More Apps Please!!

@pparent Thanks for explaining that. I was presuming it would be easy-peasy to port the desktop apps to UT. Irony!

Anyway I tried Chromium, typing issue nothing prints. Chrome is more versatile for video compatibility, or may be Firefox.

I read the reviews of available email apps on Open store. Users sound like not too happy. Anyway I will try Dekko.

Is there an alternative to Gimp?

    • RE: More Apps Please!!

@kugiigi Just the regular ones come preinstalled in Ubuntu. Email app being the most important one, the one already installed looked like buggy and unfamiliar. Evolution, Thunderbird or Fairemail would be awesome. Cheese, VLC, Chrome, open/libre office etc.

    • More Apps Please!!

      Hi,
Just installed UT. Quite impressed, interface seems quite fluid than 8 years ago. Disappointed to see familiar Ubuntu apps are missing, any chance of having all standard Ubuntu apps ported in or available to install off the Open store?
      Thanks!!!
