Two things:

I found the reason for one particular A/V desync problem I could reproduce, and have proposed an MR: https://github.com/Halium/hybris-patches/pull/58

I'm tweaking the job to clean up old GStreamer caches earlier now, which hopefully results in proper recordability and playback ability after reboots.

@uri - as far as your problem with video playback goes - this is a known problem solely on the Nexus 5 - one work around is to use the UTMedia app instead of the default Media Player app.

In regards to battery - I don't have direct experience with this - but there are a lot of replacement batteries available for it on the online markets - and instructions on how to change it can be seen here - https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nexus+5+Battery+Replacement/26009

@uri even though this is an old revived thread, only to let you know I'm right now working to provide an app bringing such a capability. I'm facing right now some troubles but I'm along the way to solve all those and maybe soon I'll come out with a concept app. Only for your information, the approach in my app is to exploit the API QNetworkConfigurationManager.
