It seems that this issue is still unresolved. I just installed UT 24.04 on a Tab M10 HD and I'm having the same problem. I've tried adjusting the timeout, but the screen stays on most of the time unless I hit the power button. Any updates on this?

@Moem said in Download (path) Ubuntu Touch: @freddyy said in Download (path) Ubuntu Touch: With other Linux variants, this is comparatively easy. Ubuntu Touch is very different from Linux distros for use on a PC or laptop. The whole architecture is different. I would caution against expecting it to be just like another Linux variant. Very true... If you look on the devices page near the bottom of the page there is links to the Gitlab page. There you can manually download the required files. I would highly recommend using the UT installer.

@jeffstoner To be fair, it said HD and not FHD but to be fair again, Lenovo's naming is very confusing I agree that the model code should be in the title though. It's probably better to make it a feature of the site instead of relying per device page configuration. You can file a feature request if you want.

This is currently a limitation in Ubuntu Touch and not specific to the Lenovo M10 tablet. It would need someone to implement it.

@drbsin You can also change the password by chrooting into the rootfs from the recovery and do passwd phablet as root. This works as UT doesn't support full disk encryption yet (although it has been showcased on FP5).

@kugiigi said in Manual ip parameters missing in wifi setup: I guess using nmtui/nmcli is easier It is for the idiots like me..... However I use a program to monitor my routers IP and MAC attachments so I can knock a device off if required and can access a device too if required.

@MrT10001 said in TB-X306X bootloop when install attempts from installer: As per above, the installer gets to reboot to fastbootd and the tablet goes into a bootloop (TB-X306X 4Gb/64Gb). I can only power the tablet off after this or boot to EDL mode to recover back to Android. Is this an installer files issue? Any other ideas before I attempt a manual install? At a guess it is a possible vbmeta and disable-verity issue as that is the prior step before reboot to fastbootd. The tablet is on the latest Android 11 and it happens on Windows 11 and Ubuntu machines. I have the same problem with the same tablet. If I understand correctly, to unblock the situation, I have to switch my tablet into EDL mode as indicated here for example: https://droidwin.com/boot-android-edl-mode/ and install UT manually? (as here: https://gist.github.com/thekosmix/1a7fc2308e9c9ea78bb4ad24bc0cda1a) I would not make another mistake...

@rubencarneiro said in TB-X306X No wifi/bluetooth: https://github.com/rubencarneiro/amar_row_lte/releases/download/1.0/FIRMWARE.tar.xz That linked worked. I will use the SP flash tool next time. The Lenovo tool put the last release on the device and I wondered if that was the issue I had installing using the installer.

@Danes Just use spflash tool and reflash the firmware provide on the README in gitlab https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android11/lenovo-tab-m10-hd/lenovo-m10-hd/-/blob/main/README.md?ref_type=heads

@hyx_david It has to be the latest version of Android 11 for that device, any other will give issues. Ther may be issues if it is a non 306F or 306X versions as well even though the specs appear the same. I would contact the Porter of the device and see if they can help.

@MilesTeg said in Lenovo Tab M9 (ZAC30056US)??: any chance that that this Lenovo tablet might be compatible with Ubuntu Touch? No. It will have to be ported first. Otherwise, as you already hinted at, it would have been on the list.
