UT BQ Smartphones not maintained in the (near ?) future if i understood well. But what is the future of the BQ M10 HD and FULL HD tablets? They are irreplaceable (and far from replaceable) at this stage I think.

@libremax Good points. I think having device "Ubuntu Touch port base" would be good as part of the "Device Specifications." That way the people wanting a "mainline kernel device" could just search for that term, for example?

@Flohack is really porting the Shift 6mq??? That's huge! - at least for me. I look for a successor of my Xperia X (with SFOS) for about a year. Vollaphone, Opo6, FP 3+, Xperia 10 ii but none them really convinced me to retire my Xx. I never have thought about spending 800 € for phone. For this one I would.

@moem Ah yes, I see now. If I put 'en' where 'de' is, the rest of the page is also in English. Didn't really look at the link. Should've figured it out myself. Thanks for explaining

The PinePhone is getting increasingly better and better, the UBports software has made calling and texting much better, and more stable, however there seems to be a limit on how good it can get, not from the Ubuntu side, or the hardware side, but from the firmware pre-installed, how good can the call and messaging features get with the pre-installed firmware, and what seems to be the overall thougths on upgrading the modems firmware, or installing the open source firmware from Biktorgj
