@mario-ch said in Feedback FP3+ after 3 months: As a non-programmer, it is still difficult for me/us to understand that all non-smartphones, no matter how cheaply produced, have no problems with Bluetooth connections in car hands-free systems. Sorry, but that is simply not true! I have seen plenty of issues with all kinds of phones from very cheap to very expensive! Having Bluetooth issues with some random device they are beeing connected to seems almost normal : From headsets/earphones to cars and PC's/laptops! Bluetooth itself as a protocol is simply a mess and can easily have a lot of issues if you are unlucky...

@debian Morph-browser and videos: drm content does not work (it's a global, not device specific issue) other videos should work, I am not aware of any issue in this regard, please post an example Waydroid: make sure that your terminal does not go to sleep (use App UT Tweak Tool) or just set system-settings/battery-option "time until sleep" to "never". use terminal: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo apt update && sudo apt install waydroid -y sudo waydroid init restart start waydroid by clicking the waydroid app icon in the app-drawer wait about 30 seconds there maybe two open windows after starting, you can close one of them (which seems to free RAM btw.), pick the black one If you close all waydroid windows, you will need to restart the waydroid container or "stop" it properly, to make it successfully starting again. For this you can use the waydroid helper app and install the "stop-helper-app". Execute it, after closing all waydroid windows or if you just want waydroid to stop, which saves battery.

Thanks @luksus. So with your explanation it seems to me clearest. I'll try to test this fact and will come back to you.

@valar_orome Yes, it is absolutely possible. The link, that Mario posted, is correct. No need for ADB, just fastboot. (BTW.: meanwhile ADB is working in UT at FP3)

@picrard said in Will or is Waydroid/Anbox implemented into the UBport for FP3/FP3+?: And sorry for that maybe silly question, I wanted to test Waydroid under my Debian distro, but it doesn't work, could it run in the background and you'll get messages from maybe Whatsapp or Telegram, or other services under android? Telegram has a Native Linux Client in case you did not know yet!

@homer Yes you can use clickable with the USB cable. Or if SSH is available on your phone, clickable also can use it. Or you can push the *.click file to your phone with: SCP if SSH is enabled MTP to copy into one of the standard folders (Download, Documents, Pictures or Music) ADB if you update to RC or devel as per Luksus' post

Hi @olddh Yes Phone calls, SMS and MMS works well. I use my FP3+ with 2 sim cards and noting to complain avout that. There's sometime some strange behaviour like freeze but nothing really important. After more than 2 months use, my main remaks is regarding the lazy side of majority off apps. I'v got more than 2000 OGG files and when I run Music app, it take more nearly 10 mn to open ! same thing with uRSSES and few others take 3/4 minutes. And also my main desillusion is I can't deal with XMPP (web app) app... impossible tu run converse.js for instance and also with MAtrix one .. impossible to connect through FluffyChat ;o( So to conclude, I'm happy with my FP3+ under Ubuntu Touch and in a hurry to get Waydroid ;o))

@luke @jesta030 basically you already can install Ubuntu Touch on your FP3+, as described in the first post. I use it as daily driver. @jesta030 please note, that Ubuntu Touch is not Ubuntu (like on desktop). You may be a bit disappointed, if you expect this.

Hey @mr-x , what @waffles is writing is nearly correct. But please use the build from this topic, in the "FLASH" section: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5939/fairphone-3-3-fp3-fp3-port-halium-10 It makes the camera and audio module work on the FP3+, at least for stills (no video). Good luck

@revocarne Hi, I just wanted to tell you, that I got the same or a similar issue, since I switched my router configuration from two separate WiFi's to one WiFi with both (2.4, 5 GHz) frequencies... In my case, it is enough to reconnect the WiFi (just tapping o the already connected WiFi-network again.) Solution for me is, to separate the networks again, at least for now. I believe that this could be a general issue on Halium(9) devices.

@vincebuntu fear not, none of the alternative OSes can lock a bootloader. Pinephone and Librem 5 don´t even have a lockable bootloader. The only risk that is has is that someone could access your data in case your phone gets lost or stolen, so better watch out - Other than that the locked bootloader has no advantage.

@fp2andfp3-user Is now the full OTA update running? No, only partly OTA updates. Can we now change the channel to stable? No, as far as I know, there is no stable channel for android9/halium9 rootfs yet and switching channel triggers a full update, which still breaks the system partition somehow. Can we flash the Stage deploy like the others? If you are talking about the devel-flashable job, yes.
