@stanwood The problem is that it does not only depend on the type of phone but also the audio system involved (see this thread: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3308/bluetooth-pairing-with-car-audio-system/2?_=1598552544960).

Hi, thanks for asking. Nothing fancy I´m dreaming about.
          I´d like to have:

          1. a graphical file editor to open, edit, save and delete txt, log files.
Currently I could not find an app where I can open larger files (> 10 MB) and from a folder I "want". They are restricted to folder and/or crashes.
Most of the time I send the file I want to check/modify with dekko2 to my mailbox. Thank god (or at least hummlbach & stefwe) dekko2 is working!
          2. Cleaner for logs, cookies, history of browser and other temporary files (OS and apps) and not needed language packages, something like "BleachBit".
            Br.
            T.

@nogoogle Indeed. I have test it on 2 models: Seat Alhambra media system 2014 and Ford Fiesta sync 2017. Same unsuccessful result on both systems.

I know this is an old thread, but an XMR wallet app would be pretty handy. I think we've only got a bitcoin wallet on the app store so far, as far as I know? I would definitely throw money at someone for one since that's something still keeping me tethered to my desktop.

@Baguette_Child Not anywhere near usable yet, and I have no idea for sure when it will be, but I've just started developing a wallet app for Monero: https://gitlab.com/dobey/tongbao

I'm really excited to hear this, as a long term holder of XMR. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your project!

@stanwood @Moem @nogoogle OTA-13 comes with a bluez update which improves the situation, see https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4840/bluetooth-findings-with-ota-13-rc/7

Once you get the new UT version (hopefully released that week-end), start by unpairing the car and the phone, then try again.

@Alter there is an Axolotl-dev telegram group if you're interested about discussion about Axolotl development. @nanu-c spent his week-end on it and improved many things, see the last releases. There still is work to do though, so if you want to help test new releases, you're welcome.

A late reply from me, because I needed to think carefully about the answer. I have an almost fulltime job and other obligations that take up a lot of time. My feeling is saying 'yes, I'd love to help with Axolotl development!'. I'm not sure if I can. It would very much depend on what is being asked for. If it would take a small amount of time, and if I could chose my own times for the tests and the replies, maybe it could work. I have a Nexus 5 as daily driver. I'm not prepared to brick that. I do have a Pinephone CE.I could use that, but would be willing to buy an Android line device too, if that is better for you. I am a regular user, not a developer.
@nanu-c : Thank you for the updates. I appreciate the progress made!!

                                      This is my wish list:

                                      • sophisticated camera app (exposure correction, filter, spirit level, RAW files, image editing etc.)

                                      • extensive offline navigation app (I know there is pure maps)

                                      • Threema Messenger

                                      • Functionality of apps with locked screen (e.g. music, activity tracker). Activation perhaps via the UT Tweak Tool (like background suspension).

                                      • Alarm clock even when the phone is switched off.

It apparently is on some devices, which have the hardware to schedule a "power on" time or such.

So those devices are not completly switched off, no?
I mean, if the device can "wake up" and clock ring when setted by user, something, hardware + software, must still run on background?

@Keneda The SoC is powered off. There is a separate RTC which is extremely low power, and can signal the SoC to power on and which results in phone restoring to power on and the alarm notification, if I understand correctly.

This is why some phones will drain battery faster than those without the feature, when powered off.
