Alarm clock?
-
@AppLee hi, yes I have tried to find how to mark it as solved, using the UBports app, but can't find the setting... a running theme here!
I guess I'd have to log on to the website using a PC to mark it solved?
Thanks, Scott

@scottbouch It should be at the bottom of the list under the cog wheel, all though I cannot get to it on my OP3. Have another look and see if you can find it if not we can do it and also look into the fact it's missing on mobile.
Edit: It shows when using Morph but not in the web app I was using. -
Ah, the cog just gives me 'delete topic' , this is on a Oneplus One using the web app.
Thanks for the tip about where to find it though... but if a moderator could mark it solved for me, it'd be appreciated !
Thanks, Scott

It would be nice if you enter the word "alarm" in the search bar of the app drawer and then you are redirected to the alarm page instead to open the clock app.
Not the same but it's possible to launch alarm directly from indicator-datetime.

Am I being daft, or is there no way to set an alarm to wake me up?
This is interesting. Is UT your main phone or just installed in a test / secondary device?
Do you mind answering to some questions? It might help with a little redesign: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4667/clock-app-survey
Thanks

Not to me, alarms only appear there if i already activated one in clock app, and the only thing it does when clicking on it, is to open alarm clock directly on alarm settings.Edit : OK i just checked again, and it appears that i can open clock app alarm settings, if i click on "clock", wich then should be "alarm" and not "clock" (in french, it's "Horloge" and not "alarmes"), so it's a translating issue.

Yes normal.
And sure on androΓ―d it won't work with any smartphone, just those that have a "not so shut down" shut down.

If still on the androphone we have the always on display I would understand, but we are talking about phones more than 5 years old.
What is the point of leaving the phone on at night to have an alarm that wakes us up? -
@MixMac
I don't know of a smartphone able to auto wake up for an alarm.If you want to use your phone to wake you up in the morning the best option is to toggle the flight mode to save the battery as much as possible.
That's what most people do. Some don't even turn the modem off and are disturbed by notifications or calls...I would be really surprised if your phone with android was able to wake you up while the phone is turned off.

Some just put silent mode and no problem
Besides, night is the best time to charge phone so battery save is not a problem at this moment.

Xiaomi & Meizu have this feature...
Otherwise I will put the airplane mode in the evening if it is normal behavior -
@MixMac
Oh, that's nice. I'm curious to know how it works.
Does it sound an alarm at wake time with a simple user interface or does it wake the phone up completely before triggering the alarm ?They probably run a custom bootloader able to exchange data with the alarm app and that's probably not open sourced... (or maybe it is)
Then during the night, the phone is not really turned off but on a very deep sleep with only the bootloader running.
