thanks mr.
Do you mean that Ubuntu Touch will be released this month?
Suposedly the person working on it had some health situation come up so it's been a lesser priority versus getting better.
I hope they are better. I don't know much about it to give further detail, nor is it my business.
Certainly explains the lack of recent news regarding the build.

@x2u Do not repeat that again ever. Hope that is clear enough. We do not tolerate bad or offensive language here.

So the FP5 is now on the installer so please give it a try but remember this is still a work in progress. These things are working or should be though some things are just being pushed now.

@Lakotaubp
What Fairphone OS version is needed for installation ?
FP5 sadly has android rollback protection so it is important to know.+Now FP5 reached installer, we should open a device sub forum for it, with a proper beta test thread.
It's a bit HS here now ^^ -
@Keneda I am informed all the information is as normal in the installer. I can't check as I don't have a 5.
-
@Keneda Part two requested.

I will happily beta-test and report my findings (where would that be?). But first I need to check if the latest twrp commit allows full backups to work. I need to be able to restore Android (including data) easily if something is not working at all. I will Update this post if the newest twrp works.
UPDATE:
twrp can not backup / use data.
Tryed the offical release (3.7.1_12.0) and one build from the current source (24c9db44e02b3153cbefd8f0a086a3232f9cf5c0) with diffrent configs from (https://forum.fairphone.com/t/twrp-for-fairphone-5/99368).Error:

"fixed data and issue with performance and 100% cpu usage (thanks to @fredldotme for the radiointerface hint)
so, this is now a fully working device, all boxes checked"
From Marius a few minutes agoEdit: Should be in the next devel in about 6 hours.
