Mobile data on my FP4 works well using the default APN settings for Telus Mobility but I can not download MMS using the default APN settings (also tried leaving proxy and port blank). Is there a fellow UT user in Canada who was successful in downloading MMS with FP4 on the Telus network ?

To progress further with the initial flashlight idea, controlling the flash directly appears to work fine in the following way. #!/usr/bin/env bash flashOff() { printf '%s' "0" > /sys/class/leds/led:torch_0/brightness printf '%s' "0" > /sys/class/leds/led:switch_0/brightness } flashOn() { # 2 appears to be the minimum brightness value possible printf '%s' "2" > /sys/class/leds/led:torch_0/brightness printf '%s' "1" > /sys/class/leds/led:switch_0/brightness } So with a loop I can have a nice flashing pattern at the minimum brightness. Just need to find what to hook into so I can have it only running only while there is a green notifications icon. As for using the screen, I think the green envelope icon, possibly slowly moving along the top edge of the screen (to minimise any burn in); would be a nice option there.

@rdfrs It took 2 years for FP5 to reach device page with for now "only" devel channel. So I would expect the FP6 takes the same time. This thread is for info only, FP5 is cheaper pristine, can be found even cheaper used, and the FP6 don't have more ram (8GB) or rom (256GB) than the "big" FP5. It's quite the same phone in definitive, I don't think a more recent Qualcomm middle class SoC will make Ubuntu Touch better, even the 120hz of the FP6 OLED screen will not make the 90hz of the FP5 OLED one outdated. If you want a Fairphone with UT now, get the FP5.
