Preface: I'm not a native englishspeaker (means: Sometimes there are horrible mistakes, sorry). I'm an interested amateur in IT, but with passion. I use linux since more than 10 years and mostly I'm really happy about it. There must be a bit in the bootloader, that shows locked or unlocked. Right? Can I switch the lockbit direktly with fastboot and, if so, how? That's the problem: Flashing UT on my FP4 wasn't successfull. I use ubuntu 24.04 with the UT-Installer. Everything seemed allright, but after finishing the process the Phone didn't boot UT. To solve that problem I red here in the blog to install Android 11 once before flashing UT again. So I downloaded the routine -a link was given in that post- and began the process. I connected my FP4 with the Computer and got via fastboot in the terminal the information that the bootloader is totally unlocked. But when running the shellscript (flash_fp4_factory.sh) it stoped with a message that no Phone is found. Studying the skript I recognized, that the request for unlocked Bootloader is negative. So there must be something, that gives a wrong information. My conclusion is there must be an incorrect set bit. More informations: While unlocking the bootloader, there went one thing wrong. At the very end of the unlocking procedure you have to boot twice in the bootloader. You do that with the buttons of your phone. I hesitated, because I was doubtfull of the right buttons. I waited to long, so the phone booted normally in Android. I know, that is not very helpfull, but it happend. So I think, that could be the reason for my difficulties. I think, the best way to solve that problem is to switch that bit directly -presupposed I'm right. But I don't have the knowhow to do it myself and that intervention is to risky for trial and error. I imagine, it could be possible with a commandline to switch that bit in the bootloader. A second possibility could be to manipulate the shellskript. I tried it, but can't bypass the request of the unlocked bit. Expression of gratitude: Thanks a lot for all, who spend their time to help others getting indipendend of google and co. I traced the project of UT since the beginning and flashed my FP2 as soon as that was possible. It still works fine, but now it's a bit outdated, so I decided to "upgrade" myself. It's always tricky to flash a custom rom -I gifted lineage to my wife and my son- but it's worth it. I hope to get my FP4 with UT soon.

If someone wants to message me quicker just send an E-Mail or open a GitHub issue on my Repository for the website. Seems like the issue was already solved. Sorry again for now answering.
