        Hi Charly,

After searching the internet, I would say that the error message (the same for all apps) means that something is still running/working in the processor, so it is not possible to update them.

At the risk of you having already tried the following:
The device should then be switched off and, thanks to Fairphone, the battery removed.
Wait 20 seconds, insert the battery, start the phone, and try the update again.

        Greetings
        Mario

          Hallo Mario,

hello Mario, I did it as described by you. With the x23 the battery takes out and then tries again. Unfortunately, the apps could not be installed again.

That post is from 2019. That was OTA-10 on Xenial, not Focal.

              Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

                Thanks,

I had read the date 14.08.2025 for the ota-10 release somewhere. I just don't know anywhere. When looking for it, I came across the 2019 threat and overlooked the date, sorry!

                    Hi @Charly,

Sorry for confusing your Volla device with the Fairphone:
I was searching the internet for a way to completely shut down a smartphone, as if you were disconnecting the power supply. Like with the old Qualcomm chipsets, where holding down the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds would cause a short triple vibration, triggering a warm start of the device and clearing the processor and RAM.
Then it occurred to me that with the Fairphone, it is possible to remove the battery. I have no idea why I no more realized that you have a Vollaphone and not a Fairphone.

Now to the update problem: can you use the apps that haven't been updated, or do they not run on the device at all? πŸ˜• πŸ€’ πŸ˜‰

                          Hi Charly,

Now I would wait until Noble 24.04-1.0 is released as stable, and then reflash with the UT installer, making sure not to check the data box so that your data is not lost.

It just takes a little patience.

                          Greetings

@Charly you can install the Ubuntu Touch Tweak Tool (UTTT) app from the open store and clear the cache of the Settings app with that. This will remove those uninstallable updates.

@Charly In that case you might need to clean the Data as well. Be aware that you will need to go through the First Run steps again if you do.
