Wonderfull, in only 2 days, 2 more people (42 versus 40) are now patrons of UBports on Liberapay.
That's five times faster than in the previous six months.
Let's accelerate again in the next days, weeks and months until all UBports users are part of this glorious club.

Just a quick quip, be sure to note that you are donating by week, not by month on Liberapay!

Only payments are done by week. When you create a donation, you can choose an amount, and a period, (week, month or year). So for exemple, you can choose 1 €/$ as amount and "year" as period.
In any case, it is impossible to give more by mistake than the amount you have credited to your Liberapay account.Today 44 patrons, +2

I also tried this argument. To now avail 
I asked for the the Liberapay widget to be put up at least which shows how much UBports is getting. A much better idea would be to ask Liberapay to create a widget which will only show the amount of supporters. So you do not have the names present but at least visotrs to the UBports page can see there are people who support this. -

@keneda In fact a few more because UBports is now also registered as an organization (UBports Foundation) and not only a team (UBports).
And yes, if all Ubuntu Touch users can donate 1€/$ by year to UBports foundation, obviously most of them can donate more. The barriers are more psychological than financial and it is a matter of helping everyone to overcome them serenely.

@flohack It may be a good idea to
- increase significantly the goal displayed currently (150 € by week) to an amount more in line with UBports fundation needs,
- improve communication to make it more inciting without becoming insistent,
- add translations,
- publish the detailed accounts of the foundation so that this transparency can give confidence to newcomers (those who "frequent" the members of the foundation for a long time have much more to trust)

This has been a timely reminder to me that I have not donated anything since last year. That has now been rectified.
