Anyone daily driving the Nord N10 5g in USA?

@UTUS Read the notes carefully about eBay bought devices and unlock tokens. We've had people buy from eBay and get one, others OnePlus refused. Haven't straightened out what is going on with that. N100 does not need a token for any version. N10 go with a BE2026, which is completely unlocked, if you want to avoid all the hassle.

@UTUS I second the assessment of @rocket2nfinity .
I've always found MMS a bit quirky, but largely it works except for group messages. Can vary a bit depending on provider and APN settings.
Group messages have been a known issue for 5+ years, Ibelieve there's just no fix. I receive nothing, no notification, no error, when someone sends a group message. No way to know anything was sent. I just tell my contacts I can't do group texts. It's more awkward now that iOS picked up RCS.. everyone expects group messages should work.
So far as I know, RCS is on the radar of the devs, but not really even a work in progress yet.. they do incredible work with few people, mostly unpaid.
In Canada, this is the most unusable part of UT. Otherwise it's great! Somehow even my banking works, though this isn't the case for most.Definitely look into bootloader unlocking before buying. Surest way, as stated, is BE2026 (North American version, non-carrier specific). Most people succeed in getting an unlock token from Oneplus eventually, but they now seem to say they only send one when given proof of purchase from an official vendor or something.
Downgrading to aporopriate Android is a bit tricky.. follow the instructions, using MSM tool and EDL mode. You'll figure it out!

Openstore shows Telegram - says it can make calls, but it looks like only app-to-app -but not to PSTN.
I search using terms 'VOIP', and linphone shows up, but that says 'no longer available'.
Any suggestions ? -
@oldbutndy Waydroid has passthrough for the VoIP clients I tried. VoIP.ms app worked, and several other clients.
The only drawbacks being needing the app open and unsuspended to receive calls, and no notifications in the main navbar. So, it will drain battery having Waydroid open all the time.

I need to research what effects of 24/7 charging would be on battery life.
Could do that while phone in home office, then Waydroid off for mobility / cell use. -

@vverve I recently installed UT on my Nord N10 5g BE2026, and I am using a daily image which shows as 24.04-1.x (2026-02-17/2).
VoLTE works for me.
I'm using a Redpocket SIM on AT&T as my carrier.

Also daily driving the N10 on 24.04.1 daily channel. It works great for me, but there is one issue regarding if you are on WiFi and receive an MMS, your MMS may stop working. But I don't use WiFi very much, so it was not a big deal for me.
I bought the 2028 variant, and I had to hack the settings.xml, I wrote a little blog post about it, but you are probably smart enough to do it without my input. Still, if you want to see the step by step and the pitfall I ran into, here it is:

Also, if you purchase refurbished models from Amazon, that seems to be confirmed to work with OnePlus to get the unlock token.

I got one of these phones yesterday. After years of periodically testing on my Pixel 3a, Pinephone and a number of purchased-and-returned phones, this one is looking best.
I'm running the daily, 24.04-1.x from yesterday.
VoLTE calls are working and the sound is good. I notice that there's no ringing in the speaker on my phone when I'm calling another phone.
MMS (group SMS) appeared to work. It might go only to the first person in the group. Haven't received confirmation.
MMS of a photo works as long as WiFi is off.
This is great progress!
