@gpatel-fr Your technical knowledge is greater than mine - I wouldn't know how to set up traces or look for sources of the issue without guidance. But if there are specific ways I can help test things out, let me know

When you get a ring, possibly you could ask the person you are calling what is their provider to see if there is a pattern. I'm not even sure that it is network related or if it depends on the specific tower the phone is connected to...

@gpatel-fr Yep, will definitely look out for network-related rings.

@gpatel-fr So far it seems that reliably I will get a ring when calling somebody from the same network as me. From Lucky Mobile, in Canada, it rings when I call someone using Lucky Mobile or Virgin Mobile, both of which are MVNOs on the Bell Network.
I don't think I'm hearing any rings when not doing that. Calling 1-800 numbers yielded mixed results, but consistently it would ring or not ring for a given number.

First day i see voLTE. 🙂. I have never see this in any chanel before with focal or noble. I'm on 24.04-1.3 RC 2 since some days. No new work has been made by voLTE UT developers.
So Bouygues made probably something to make is voLTE more compatible with some smartphones.

a diagnosis has been posted on gitlab
A problem understood is half way to be solved they say.
So there is hope that 24.04-1.4 will finally kill this beast.

Unfortunately I tried to compile the MR and install it on my FP5 and it did not change anything, no ringing.

Now it's possible that the MR relies on other features merged in other repos since my install was a bit hacky (I use stable 24.04-1.x).

Thinking a bit more about it and reading the issue, I may have a bit too hasty in installing this MR since it's about getting back the signal to ofono, said ofono needs also to play a sound and this change has (probably) not yet been implemented.

VoLTE working in the UK on a OnePlus Nord N100, on the O2 network. Seems fine! (but signal strength icon is at 0 even when calling and mobile data are OK, as reported by someone else here)

It is now working with 26.04-1.x preview provided that the phone chipset is Qualcomm.
