      @vverve

      From what I know all the gtk/XWayland apps are affected. Something was probably changed in the system concerning maliit. ( Chromium for UT, Min browser, Signal UT, uWolf, Rocket.chat, ect... )

      For now I cannot test 24.04-2.x, maybe later. Probably system devs should know more about that problem, and what may have been changed in regard to OSK and maliit.

            you are saying 24.04-1.x vs 24.04-2.x, right ?
            Could you list a few comparisons between the 2 version ?
            What works well or not in each ?

              @oldbutndy Install of 24.04-1.x over 2.x ,without deleting user data (which is not recommended ?!?) went smooth .
              Hmm , for now i see only one difference , no ethernet beta feature that i never tried , volte is working , bluetooth ,all basic functions seems ok, i got a whole bunch of apps installed from 2.x not tested yet in 1.x .

                One more difference , they might be more,1.x got a search bar on main icon app menu , or was it just disabled on my 2.x .

                NOTE DOWNGRADING OOPS : hmm , observed a potential flaw ,24.04-1.x update version state 178 , which would be the latest i get before 2.x bleeding edge crash/reinstall , it does not seems to see any updates now . Edit ; its upgrading to 487 latest now , solved oops...

                  Confirmed! Finally! When I updated from 20 the upgrade app showed upgrade to Ubuntu touch 8.

                  I did it and it worked. And VoLTE worked finally! I never had it working on v20 and the only way I could make calls is because 3G still works in Canada.

                  I upgraded to the latest today after that 4.13 I think.

                  And it won’t boot now at all.

                  This boot loader sucks. I’m dumb and I could never made anything like this, but no rollback like twrp had ten years ago is going to force me to buy a second n10 just to sanity check that updates don’t cause an unbootable state!

                    @egregiousecan won't boot at all? Can you boot to the bootloader (fastboot)?

                    Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...
                    I have too many devices...

                      There's some bug that causes random bootloop, forcing shutdown by holding all phone buttons simultaneously helps. I was also not able to boot into Ut 24.04 after upgrading from 20.04, I had to reflash the device with Android to do that.
