@advocatux Can you try now, we tried to repair it today...
-
@Flohack, after clicking in Ubuntu under "Third party registration", I've entered my info to login and there isn't a error message now but I'm just redirected to https://translate.ubports.com/accounts/register/
So no successful login.
Edit 1: after entering my Ubuntu info to login it starts this https://translate.ubports.com/accounts/complete/ubuntu/?janrain_nonce=2017-07-04T21:03:XXXXXXXX (I put X's instead of session ID) but I'm not logged.
Edit 2: There's no problem login with Ubuntu in the old URL https://ubpweblate.tnvcomp.com/

Yeah I need to decide for a domain xD
Let me see if I can fix this today...BR

I started my first ever application translation in a not yet existing language today. I knew it was going to be a bit labor intensive, but i think some of it could maybe done with a script.
I think cities and countries should be very suitable for script translation. Has anyone here done that with script? What would be the best way to do it? Are there any scripts around that i could just modify a bit?
Or the best is to just see it through to the end the manual way this first time and for next app just use the automatic translation feature?
-
I have been through the manual way now, and after that i started to investigating the script idea more.
It was actually not so much to be written into the script, and i think the output is actually quite a good start when i compare it with the manual translation.
The script takes the po-file and the target language as parameters and prints out the new po-file with translations in the terminal, so it can of course also be redirected to a file instead.
I think the nicest would be if there was an option on the server to run a script like this when starting a translation in a not yet existing language, but as it is now i think running the script with the po-file from the server and then upload the output file to the server seems to be the least amount of work to make a translation from scratch.

I don't know if there's a better place to ask this question. Feel free to move to the correct sub-forum.
When a certain translation is locked for several days. How can I know who's locking it and/or how can I contact that person to help him or her to unlock it?
-
@Flohack, I could log in with my Ubuntu account in https://translate.ubports.com/ finally. Thank you.
-
If there is a new translation but no words to translate. What could have gone wrong, then? The words are there in the po-file, but just not visible in the gui.

Hello, you can count on me for the French translation.
Good work everyone! -
It seems the translations for the System Settings app have been recently updated in https://ubpweblate.tnvcomp.com/projects/ubports/system-settings/fr/
But I cannot access to Weblate.
Am I the only one to see this message?DisallowedHost at /projects/ubports/system-settings/fr/
Invalid HTTP_HOST header: 'ubpweblate.tnvcomp.com'. You may need to add u'ubpweblate.tnvcomp.com' to ALLOWED_HOSTS -
@Anne017 that's the old domain, you need to use https://translate.ubports.com/ now
Also pinging @Flohack (he's going to hate me lol).
-
With a little delay, thank you @advocatux for your kind answer.
Now the System Settings app is fully translated in FrenchHowever, when I try to propose another translation for any string of the UBports app, I get this message:
IOError at /translate/ubports/ubports-app/fr/
[Errno 13] Permission denied: u'/opt/weblate/data/vcs/ubports/ubports-app/po/fr.po'
Anyone with the same issue?
If it is really a bug, where could I report it? -
@Anne017 Try again plz, should be fixed now. Also please only use the new domain https://translate.ubports.com/ as the old one was removed recently
