I'm on OTA-5 and I want to update Dekko2 to the latest version before filing bug reports. In OpenStore I see it as 0.1.8-21b84, in my file system in the BQ E4.5 somehow as 0.1.6.
      Questions:

      • Why OpenStore says about my device "Installed version: none"?
      • Will the update let my existing configuration intact?

          Thanks.

Someone said in the other thread:

«...Do you have the latest version of Ubuntu Touch, Dekko2 and File Manager? - when you open an email attachement, it asks you what application to open it with. If you choose File Manager, you can then choose a folder where to save the attachment. Only the latest FileManager version actually saves the file....»

I now have the latest Dekko2 and the latest FileManager, but OTA-5. Seems that saving attachments is still not working and a click on the hamburger menu says "not implemented".

I filed (and posted here) in October 2018 this issue:

              RE: Dekko2 Developer Community Thread
              https://gitlab.com/dekkan/dekko/issues/21

What is the diff to this place:
              https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko

Which one is correct? And if the later, why the others did not have moved, or should I re-file it?

Do have the community edition or the original one?
The original is the recommended one now since the original developer is back although your data will actually work on both versions.

                  0.1.8-21b84 from OpenStore
Where should I file issues for this version?

Sorry, but I do not understand this posting. What version from where I should install and where to file issues?

@guru Just follow the posted thread instructions. Shut dekko2 then uninstall it. Then install the version of dekko2 that is currently available in the Openstore. Thats it, all your stuff is kept and your on the latest version in the correct name space for the future.
Very briefly the "community ” version is shorthand for the one without Dan Chapman's involvement.

https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko is the place where you should file issues now if you want to.

Thanks. And issues filed in the other one months ago, will they be considered or ignored?

Do you mean under dekkan? I think they will need to be migrated over. You might need to do this manually, as I don't think there's an automatic way to do it.

                                  I filed two issues there:

                                  https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/134
                                  https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/135

In the past there was a common thread for Dekko2 development, perhaps for the community development, which ends on December 7:
                                  https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1477/dekko2-developer-community-thread/106

Is this continued somewhere else for the new Dekko2 development?

@guru I would for now carry on with that thread as only the name space has changed for the app. Development carries on the same. Lets keep it all together for now.
