@quget It is normally because the account settings security/port wise do not come accross correctly. You need to find a working version of the account settings and check both the incoming and outgoing are correct. Also for Google you need to activate Trust unsecure apps or whatever it's now called in your Google account security settings.
Dekko works well when set up (at least for me) not perfect but works. The other option is to use Webber from the OpenStore and create your own web app. Quite straight forward to use too.

It's a basis for any mail client to work... If you don't know Thunderbird from Mozilla, it's been used for decade by millions people on PC, try it on yours. After that, you'll be able to configure Dekko like a charm.

Ohh I did hear about Thunderbird a long long time ago, but never used it. Might look it up and give it a try.

@quget What is your smartphone?
I personally don't use gmail because it's completely at odds with the spirit of privacy.
But as mentioned, you should be able to set up gmail in dekko.
And at least dekko will be very useful to be notified of mails and read them on it. And maybe answer them but, in my case, dekko is not comfortable to answer mails.
The gmail webapp made with webber might be (or not) more convenient for you to answer mails and the session might stay open, which is convenient.

@domubpkm I use the Volla phone, I don't mind not getting notified of my e-mails I check them daily anyway

One day I will replace the gmail. Might be a Duck mail in the future!

I too have been using the Volla exclusively as a daily phone for over 4 months and Dekko runs well on it for me.

You say you can't change the effects on your smartphone?
I can confirm that all functions are operational on the latest Volla RC.

Edit : I have indeed seen your issue on gitlab but it is not a new problem related to this update as I thought first.

Hi guys, I wanted to give my opinion too, some apps to note here:

I would like the image app to flip an image, making it seam like a mirror effect,
I would like the browser to have the option to automatically delete cookies when you leave the web page,
an app that compresses files and folders in .zip to send them later by mail or telegram.
an app that could encrypt a folder with a lock key , for example located inside documents.
an app that uses PKpass files to enter events, concerts, cinemas, theaters and even travel tickets.
an app for video chatting, for example Linphone, Element, Wire,
an app that sends your voice to a bluetooth speaker for using it in different activities such as karaoke.

with an achoz plugin, for better search.

the idea is basically having a unity/spotlight/latedeadgoogledesktopsearch

and:

easy access to notifications with one hand on the bottom
search bar on the bottom
also a linl to search the web, store, and few other apps

@rebecca58 Im wishing for a bluetooth app to open and close my garage door with. Its really handy I use garagemate on android and its the one thing holding me back from ditching my primary phone for an Ubuntu touch phone

SafePal wallet supports just about every coin including all the XMR variants.

I personally really like using Clickup as my personal planning/organization app, they have an API available. So having either a separate Clickup app on UT, or maybe an integration in one of the several todo list apps using their data as a backend would be very nice

No need to dream :

Export the data on your phone.
Enable Developer Options.
Connect the phone via USB Cable.
Download the data to your PC or Laptop via ADB Tools

About the apps :

Firefox for ~~Android~~ Ubuntu Touch
Telegram Client that works better/more intuitive and reliably than TELEports does at the moment...
VLC for playing video's mainly.
Something with the same base/core is fine too!

And fingers crossed for all the VoLTE and MMS users out there!
