@unisuperbox
As i see, anbox will be included for "supported devices".
As i learned recently, MX4 is kind of supported thanks to Marius work : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1679/how-to-anbox-for-meizu-mx4-araleCan i hope MX4 will get anbox prinstalled in OTA16?

Does the nexus 4 have access to the update? I'm currently on the release candidate channel, and there have been no updates since 2021-W07. Please forgive my ignorance. I'm fairly new to UT with limited past experiance

@jimsmith80 There has been a bit of a hold on RC updates before the call for testing to get things ready. You should get the next RC update shortly. Just make sure all your apps are updated and you shpuld be ok or follow the instructions in the accompanying blog https://ubports.com/blog/ubport-blogs-news-1/post/call-for-testing-ubuntu-touch-ota-16-3742

Hi everyone,
On Nexus5, I have an issue with pinch to zoom-out.
I saw it within the camera app (when scrolling photos) and in the gallery app.
I can zoom in easily, but it got stuck, I can't zoom out or move to the next picture...Anyone else can confirm ?
-
@applee
yes, my N5 has the same problem. With RC and Devel. -
@john-silver I can confirm on both my Nexus 5 and Pinephone. You can only zoom in but not zoom out. Double tap doesn't work either.
-
@applee I can confirm this also on my OPO on RC. The issue for myself seems to be when attempting MAX zoom. I can zoom in and out but if I max zoom, that's when it gets stuck. However, double-tapping(more like a button mash) the photo resets the zoom after that everything returns to function normally(can zoom in and out partially, slide to next photo) but, getting double-tap to work is inconsistent.
Behaviours seen in Camera app are occurring similarly in Gallery app...
Anyone else?

It seems that on my device (pinephone with some kernel and script changes) podbird and teleports become basically unusable and very unresponsive.
It might be related with an issue i found in the clock timer that receives a lot of drag events ( > +60/sec ) that overload the CPU with updates and make all the animation stutter.Edit: the camera app gallery zoom issue happen to me too i`ll investigate it further...
.... Annnnd yes, There's seems to be an issue with a MouseArea that is a child of the PinchArea adding scrollGestureEnabled:false (added Qt 5.5) didn't solved it.
Still investigating -
Anbox integration ! YOU DID IT ! I'm so happy

I apologize everyone, for some reason the images were not promoted yesterday (except for android9 devices). They are promoting now.

Does anyone know if a GSI image gets generated every time OTA's are generated?
I ask because there are a lot devices out there are running on GSI's that have not had any updates for a long time now and it would be nice to have a newer GSI available at least for testing. It may just be that the information is hard to find.
-
@AntiDroid, no, the installable GSI images are created by someone else. We currently don't build it. You should ask the GSI's publisher to make an update.
-
@unisuperbox I would love ask them but it is really hard to tell who the "GSI's publisher" is. The GSI images are under UBports GitHub account https://github.com/ubports/porting-notes/wiki/Generic-system-image-(GSI) but link to build.lolinet.com with GSI images that do not match the ones I have used on my 6T from a UBports github repo that further links to a GitLab repo that does not have the GSI at all. It is so confusing. It is really hard to tell where the work is being done, by whom and how to get involved.
Are there instructions for building a new GSI somewhere? I have a server running 24/7 I can put to work compiling if I need to.

Hello.
I would just like to know for those who have a Volla and are on RC 9 if the MMS function works. Not for me while the Internet is OK. APN MMS ok.
Thank you in advance. -
@antidroid 6P is done by @Flohack I think?
-
@fla That is Nexus 6p, which is not GSI based. Comment you were replying was about OnePlus 6T.
-
Anyone else noticed this issue?
Toggling selection mode seems to be a lot easier on stable.
https://github.com/ubports/keyboard-component/issues/158 -
@kugiigi where or with what exactly for you ? What device ?
For me with volla phone, t seems normal with messaging app or a webapp of deepl.
It is much more difficult with tedit : works with a workaround : first long press on the word and after i can use your mechanism.
