Need testers Home Screen for Ubuntu Touch

@aarontheissueguy Of course, I would like to become the default application)
The application will expand, I will add its API. In the near future I will update the API in GitHub so that the developers know how to interact with it and what functions are there. -
@cliffcoggin If anyone has such a problem, it is a conflict between installing directly from the directory and the open-store.
- Delete uHome.
- Delete 3 directories
/home/phablet/.cache/uhome.pavelprosto/
/home/phablet/.local/share/uhome.pavelprosto/
/home/phablet/.config/uhome.pavelprosto/ - Install uHome from open-store
- If the application displays an inscription, "I cannot create a cache",
do not panic. Run the application again and everything should work.
I can only guess where this problem comes from. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the final version was compiled on the new version of clickable

So now uHome is also more economical in terms of phone resources.
Yes. I also suspected that the faulty installation was eating up my battery, the charge indicator almost dropping visibly. Now everything seems to be back to normal.
-
@pavelprosto @cliffcoggin Ut Tweak Tool also allows you to delete application data if you prefer a gui

But I did not install the experimental version. I only installed the one version from Open Store. Surely that should allow one to turn off the phone without removal and installing a second time?

For example, only an application from the Open Store can go to sleep.
From the OpenStore app and OpenStore webpage OR only from OpenStore app ?

@aarontheissueguy
The best would be to see it becoming part of uTouch core, so there is no hack to do like on LM, as it's not endorsed, may it be tolerated, by the core devs (read this thread for better understanding). So, let Pavel make a great(er) app, without bugs, without hacking the system, and USE IT (the more we use it, the more it has chances to merge with uT), untill it's time to polish uTouch user interface (that it needs), as before, 20.04 LTS must be out.
And now, let's show your Homes (please try to adapt image scale to forum, with Gimp for instance) !
Mine first :
PS : for the sake of dumb and dumbers, like i am, the sticky "0040" note is a reminder to myself for where am i in the process of recovering the PIN CODE from my smart TV, that i forgot after having set it months ago... Yes i know 40/10000, it's a long way still
-
I love this app, it's wonderful, it gives Ut more versatility, everyone can choose how they want their home, I like the widgets, Thank you Pavel for this app and for your great effort to make it.
Regards...

@josele13 Nice. My choice is to name the internet 'Morph' or Morph-browser' instead of 'Internet Link': it's less impersonal.

@domubpkm
Like i did -
@keneda Yes I see now indeed ! I was left with your first version of 00:59 (no screenshot) received by mail : we can see afterwards the last revision IF we go on the forum, but we not receive by mail the revisions.

About Dekko, I really love this email client too. Unfortunately I cannot implement a widget for it, uHome's permission are very very limited.
But it can be implemented by the Dekko programmer. His application can interact with my desktop and I will be happy to help him with thisI opened a feature request.
You can comment here if you want

@keneda agreed I would love to see this being merged into master at some point.
-
Little update :
I managed to find some icons with transparancy (this way you can change background colors @domubpkm ) in /usr/share/icons, i used thoses from suru/apps/scalable, i let them grey for the moment, but color can be changed with Gimp for instance...
I also managed to find some additional URLdispatcher compatible apps, wich are dialer app, openstore app, uTouch settings, contact app.
To add one of them, add an internet widget, and go to "Link URL" field, erase it, and add instead (edited since new findings) :
-
document://
for launching document viewer -
dekko://
for Dekko mail app, ormailto://xxx@xxx.xxx
for opening new mail form to setted address -
addressbook://
for contacts -
openstore://
for openstore -
settings://
for uTouch settings -
dialer://
for opening dialer, ortel://01.02.03.04.05
for opening dialer with number pre-composed, each number need to be separated by one dot (in this example, it's a french number pattern), "tel" with no number do the same as "dialer". -
message://
also exists for opening messaging app, but it opens it with form to create new message, i did not find a way to open it the same as if you open it from drawer/launcher, but if you add contact name or contact number after it + a third / it will open the contact thread (thanks @domubpkm for the finding) :message:///01.02.03.04.05
-
-
@keneda No time to look at it now but thanks for the info.

@keneda said in Need testers Home Screen for Ubuntu Touch:
if you add contact name or contact number after, unlike with "tel", it will do nothing else
I have found : message:///06........
Use 3 / -
Another app URL-Dispatcher compatible :
document://
for launching document viewerFeel free to add some if you find or know one ^^
Edit:
@domubpkm said in Need testers Home Screen for Ubuntu Touch:I have found : message:///06........
Use 3 /WOW, great, thanks, i'll edit ^^
Edit 2 : i ran a test, and the 3 "/" can be used with some others, for instance,
settings:///cellular
will directly lead to the cellular settings!
I tried before only with 2 "/" and it didn't work, thanks to you now we know ^^ -
@Keneda Message and Dialer: it is not necessary to put a dot after every two numbers. The numbers can follow each other. Try.

That's the way i tried at first, and the number prompted in the dialer app had nothing to do with the one i put.
Edit : i just tested again, if i do
tel://0102030405
the dialer app opens and prompts 18495...
