Some stuff that can be improved on this Forum :)

A couple of things that really bother me :
- When I want to EDIT my post it's immediately flagged as SPAM ?! WTF ?!
- When I open a couple of Tabs at the same time some kind of poorly configured Anti-DDoS system kicks in and I have to refresh the Tab to actually see the Topic ?!
- The general layout of text in the posts is not the most pleasing to look at!
Especially when you quote multiple people in one post ?!
Can any of these things be fixed at some point ??

@nero355 What are you reading the forum on? I have no problems reading it in either Firefox on Linux or Chrome on Chromebook.

Kubuntu 20.04 LTS and the latest Pale Moon version

Honestly I would not go quite that far, as it sounds rather unfriendly, but... I don't find it easy to use at all. The 'ask as a question' and 'mark as solved' options are so well hidden that they need to be explained over and over again. Never a good sign.

I'm using Morph only since my PC is broken, and the forum design is perfectly adapted to Ubuntu Touch and morph gestures.But it was working very well under firefox too.
There are some improvement to do, but nothing "horrible" for me.
BTW if you can't do some things here it's because your reputation is not already high enough.

Though I think most of the issues in this thread might not be directly related to the Forum software we are aware that in some instances it is not easy to find and use some of the tools. These things are starting to be looked at but, please don't hold your breath for quick changes. The whole Forum will be looked at and that takes time. The main priority for now is the rebase to 20.04.

@nero355 In general we have so many spam attacks that we had to put in some more aggressive antispam measures, and sometimes there are false positives, but, sorry to say, we cannot lift those measures again. Our few moderators are already working all the day to keep spammers off, and its the internet in 2021. You could also call it broken by this time

By the way:
I dream of an AI forum that would have the ability to allow only new topics, and automatically link similar or even identical questions to the questioner.There are extremely many posts in this forum at the moment, and the built-in search function rarely brings satisfactory answer selections. This tempts many to simply ask again, and thus to expand the forum again.
One may dream nevertheless times, or?

Does the forum use Discourse? If so stuff like making some buttons more visible can be solved in the theme, which might finally be something I can easily help with, since I'm a front-end dev by day and have experience with Discourse

As a Pi-Hole addict I use Discourse a lot and it's a lot better than the NodeBB software used here!
In fact I think it's perhaps one of the most innovating pieces of forum software I have seen over the last 25 years or so!

I couldnt find how to increase reputation... There isnt any links on the landing page to guide new users on how use the platforw.

I have had problems on firefox on ubuntu. I cant post from there and i couldnt reset my password a while ago. That left me locked out and without any info on how to ask for help to recover my account. Apparently morph on ubuntu touch doest have the same problems.

I had that problem when I tried to add some links to my introduction post: I could not post it like that. I had to post without any links.
