How do you deal with no reliable web browser on 16.04 RC?
Hi! I'm on 16.04 RC. And the problem is that in 16.04 RC there is no reliable browser. The default browser does not work on many pages (including e.g. Google Maps) and most of the webapps are broken. And the newly introduced browser - Browser Next is even less usable (no bookmarks, no history, problems with rendering pages etc.).
So my question is: how do you deal with no reliable browser on 16.04 RC? Do you just avoid browsing the net at all? Or do you have any hacks that help you survive until the 16.04 stable will be there?
Because of the browser issue, I would love to switch back to 15.04 stable. But I'm afraid I will not be able to do it without braking my BQ Aquaris E4.5. (Well, I've broken one already two weeks ago when I was trying to upgrade from legacy Ubuntu Touch to Ubports version - it was my fault, I wasn't careful enough. However, I had to buy new BQ Aquaris E4.5 to continue my adventure with Ubuntu Touch :)) So I will probably stay with 16.06 RC and wait until it will be stable.

RE: What formats are supported for video?
@advocatux said in What formats are supported for video?:
@Giiba have you tried to play videos with UTMedia (https://open-store.io/app/utmedia.nfsprodriver)?
There are some issues with the default media player on Nexus 5 but UTMedia works for me.
@advocatux This solution works for me too. (Playing regular videos with H264 - MPEG-4 AVC codec). I run Ubuntu Touch on RC on Nexus 5.

Promotion as one of main categories on this forum
Hello Everyone!
Fist of all, thanks to all of you for your brilliant work on Ubuntu Touch. Both to the developers and to people in the Community!
I just realised about the stunning fact: none of the main categories in this forum reflect the need to promote Ubuntu Touch, or conquere the world for Ubuntu Touch.
As you see the names of the main categories, there is a lot of "How to make it work" and "How to develop it". But I guess for most of us it is important that Ubuntu Touch will become a solution for thousands and millions of people across the Planet! We will not achieve it if there isn't even a main category in this forum named "Promotion" or "Maketing" or "Conquering the World". :)))
So my humble request is: let's make a new main category for people who want to discuss and collaborate on promoting the Ubuntu Touch among friends, co-workers, neighbours, family and society in general. What do you think?

RE: How to run 2 instances of the same app at the same time
@3arn0wl On 16.04 rc there is actually only one app that works. Yes, there are more Twitter (web)apps in the Open Store but only one works. Other do not work (perhaps because of the browser bug that is not solved in 16.04 rc).
So my question is still valid. Anyone have an answer to my original question?

RE: Telegram won't sign in on Aquaris bq 4.5
@lakotaubp I confirm that "For some it suddenly works after days of trying other straight away." I had the same issue and after few days of trying it suddenly worked. No idea why. Perhaps you need to have some level of motivation and patience to use Telegram on Ubuntu Touch and BQ Aquaris E4.5. But we are lucky you do not need any special hacking skills. Motivation and patience is enough.

RE: How do you deal with no reliable web browser on 16.04 RC?
I have now Ubuntu Touch 16.04rc on LG Google Nexus 5 and I can see that the (old) browser app works much better than on Ubuntu Touch 16.04rc on BQ Aquaris E4.5. So I guess the developers themselves use 16.04rc with Nexus 5 and just do not realise how problematic is the (old) browser on Ubuntu Touch 16.04rc on BQ Aquaris E4.5. :)))

How to run 2 instances of the same app at the same time
Sometimes I need to run the same app two times at the same time. For example, application Tweet doeas not allow to work with multiple Twitter accounts. I don't want to log out and then again log in with another Twitter profile. So I need to run two instances of Tweet app at the same time - one running with profile1 and second with profile2. Would it be possible in Ubuntu Touch?
