Personnellement, je n ai jamais réussi faire fonctionner waidroid (sur mon xperia X). Je mets ca sur le dos des capacités de la machine...
Mais j essaye encore d installer UT sur oneplus6 (sans succes pour le moment - je trouve pas la version android d origine) pour utiliser confortablement les app libertine et essayer waydroid.

In my experience, these bugs are the two main problems wich prevent me to stay on ubuntu touch with my sony xperia X.
So sad....

For the camera, i aldo note (but more rarely) au critical bug, that probably break my first camera : the focus stars to "vibrate" until i shut down the phone (shut the app isn't enough).
This bug doen't reproduce regularly... @los-tioz Did you meet this too ?

I use deltachat, for his compatibility with mail. It permit me to use a "classic" mail with instant chatting app : I m not forced to use a specific app to joine the conv.
It could be usefull in associations, or militant teams : To not exclude someone juste for an app or a phone.
I m trying to convince my friends to use it, but... Not easy.

Hello, I meet difficulties to flash the recovery on oneplus6.
I notice that in can't flash the recovery using

fastboot flash recovery file.img

But, it works using :

fastboot flash boot file.img

If you comes from any linuxOS (PostmarketOS or Mobian), flash the dtbo too.
It works with the one of /e/OS (https://images.ecloud.global/community/enchilada/) you found it in the recovery zip file.

Using this way, i came back from mobian to OxygèneOS... And Ubuntu touch !

i can't do all the tests i want (mms voice...) because it is not my daily device (the device have issues)
but....

• on sony xperia X, nothing less than before.
• less probleme with some apps. But, is it from the app or the OS... I can't said. (ufirefox, whatsnew's...)

Je n'ai pas le détail, mais je suppose qu'il faut utiliser "fastboot" pour l'installer. (Plus facile avec un PC linux : sinon, tu auras également besoin des drivers windows pour ton téléphone : https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/installing-xiaomi-drivers-for-pc.73382/).
Mais si vous aviez auparavant installé LineageOS, ce n'est sans doute pas un problème ?

la Rom android d origine est conseillée, la version est généralement indiquée sur le site : https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/lavender/release/noble/

je ne connais pas spécifiquement les xiaomi et si ils proposent des outils de réinitialisation de leurs appareils (un logiciel sous windows? - c est le cas des sony, samsungs...) attention aux 'vendeurs de solution' (Drfone, imobile droidkit...) je doute que ce soit pertinent.

update : the probleme existe, only in the text box of the webpages (not for the app's texte box).

• drop down menu (already) don't works in parameters.
• after hyding keyboard, it won't re-pop.
• the app shutdown when I try to download a pdf file (but i can read it in the browser)

It lauch when tip on texte box. So, it maje it usable

The last version is relatively usable.

Ok. Like I uinstall my debian for lmde, I will try laaaaater.
It is possible that I have a probleme with the gpu driver : I try to solve it in lmde.

sorry, I am not realy precise in the description but I don't understand realy the probleme (not fluent in english - better in french)

It is a critical problem, met first in 20.04, then in 24.04.

today, I take some photos with my phone (this is not often). no probleme. , but then (20 mn later) I re-launch the camera app and the camera came to vibrate (trying to focus ?), without stop... even when I stop the app.
I have to reboot the phone (the vibrations only stop when the phone was totaly stopped)
And now, there are problems with the camera : I could take a photo once. never reboot, and now It doesn't work (no image on camera)
nb : now it works, with light corrigation on the image

this is the 2nd sony xperia X I use with UT.
previously, my 1st device had the same probleme on 20.04. And I think it break the camera... (but I made it fall too... so I m not sure)

aurora store is a miror without google account.
f-droid is store for open-source apk.
and every things works on lineageOS. (but also the spyware).

I notice that the keyboard already return to 'letters' after juste one 'number' is tape. not realy practical.
It is specificaly on whatsnews and signal.
Is it juste for me ? or a parameter for the keyboard.
It seems to me that the keyboard is specific in these apps ?
