Well, I think there are more important things in life than dealing with the UT website. This is not just because of the website, but also because there is a lack of staff, as is so often the case. I suggest that you simply leave the devices that are no longer supported as an image in the installer and remove them from the main page. This way, users who have such an old device, which are not many anymore, can still use UT as Xenial as Not Os. Since I'm no longer up to date with development, I don't care about UT either .

RE: tedit development and design discussion
Sorry, that's not what I meant Dear Mr. or Mrs. Danfro. Now I know which app you are trying to improve. I first thought of this shopping app, i.e. this shopping list app. Seems like you are trying to program a better alternative to an editor app!
I have no idea why posts are deleted. In any case, I can't see that posts are being deleted, at least not by everyone. Sorry again, I won't write anything more here in your science app tests.
OK, so an e-prescription app for UT, so to speak Josele13?

RE: MMS authentication setting
Then you might be able to try the two things UText under Xenial and Seabass2 under Focal. To be honest, that's all I know right now.

RE: tedit development and design discussion
Why do you need a digital shopping list today? You do it the classic way with a small piece of paper and a pen. If the battery of the Smierfon is empty, you can't use the app either

RE: MMS authentication setting
Normally, MMS and Internet access can be set up in exactly the same way as with Android and iOS. In my opinion, the Apn and MMS settings are under the network. Otherwise it really shouldn't work without a terminal. The question is of course whether it works with UText (no problem with Xenial) Simply saving the text file under Seabass2 with Focal is more difficult. Recommendation: First simply copy the entire setting for the Vodafone provider into UT as shown in the link. Where you find the network signal in UT, there is also the option for Internet and MMS in the setup. You simply have to create a new profile in the top right corner where there should be a + sign. If necessary, restart the system and test it.

RE: Microphone in Waydroid
Yes, just use a second smartphone for WhatsApp. The Waydroid thing is good, but I've also had problems like this with other manufacturers. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Or ask in the support channels for Waydroid in Telegram. It's just too annoying to wade through 100 groups. You get used to Google and Android by necessity, so to speak. Many people still use the WhatsApp data cracker.

RE: No audio out from headphone plug
@tomsome No, you don't need to reinstall anything. Try it once when the headphone jack is plugged into the phone to see if it wobbles. Then you can assume that it could be a cold solder joint. This can be fixed. Or just use an old cable with a 3.5 MM jack to see if it works on a box. It can then surely only be a minor issue!

RE: Bluetooth UI/Implementation Improvements (suggestions/thoughts)
Your idea is good, although the actual Bluetooth interface of Ubuntu Touch has the feature built in. Have a look at Xenial's Bluetooth apps, where I think there is even such an app. I think it even ran on Focal. I also made some attempts with Bluetooth from Ubuntu Touch to have a working handsfree. On Xenial, Bluetooth ran successfully and without problems, at least on a SIM card. Somehow the developers had to change something about Bluetooth. But since Bluetooth sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, depending on the device, I put my hopes on hold and went back to MIUI.

RE: No audio out from headphone plug
Is the plug possibly not plugged in correctly? My tip: Try Vol or UVol from the Ubports Openstore. With this app you can make sure that the volume is not muted.

RE: Status of VoLTE (Voice over LTE 4G) implementation?
Since I have not flashed for a long time to see the development of UT I am amazed. It seems a lot has happened in the development of UT. Are you still on Android 10 or already on Android 11 or 12 in preparation? I wish you good luck with porting.

RE: Redmi Note 9 Pro (global) no wireless display option?
I actually have no idea at the moment whether the device has this. If only via adapter and USB C cable. If you need a monitor, I don't think it works via Bluetooth or WLAN. I thought WiFi was meant without a monitor.

RE: Redmi Note 9 Pro (global) no wireless display option?
What do you mean by the wireless display? Is it not the one where you can see all WLAN connections? I would also like to point out that the RMN9P only works up to channel 11 in 2.4 GHz. Everything above that does not work, at least I have always had this with the TP Link AC1200 C50 older model in white. With 5Gigaherz WLAN connection without dual mode 2.4 and 5Wlan together it works better. Whereby channel 13 does not work

RE: Status of VoLTE (Voice over LTE 4G) implementation?
Hopefully all frequencies will also be supported. In Germany, LTE is supported from 700Megaherz to 3600Megaherz. 5G is already available, but I don't have the hardware to use it yet. If you don't always need special applications for devices, I don't think it's that difficult. With Waydroid you could get VoLte and VoWifi up and running with some devices. I'm just making assumptions here. With Xiaomi, for example, the whole modem and Bluetooth stuff somehow runs via a chip where the FM radio is also installed. Shailfish Os is Android again then you can also stay on Lineage Os.

RE: Gigaset
@ellocco If I had such a Gigaset ( Volla only cheaper ), well then I would already be testing with the part on the Ubports Installer You just have to know if you have to pre-install an Android 10,11,12 to get UT on it. But since there is certainly no information, you probably have to test it yourself. But no test without a device

RE: Bluetooth audio pairing to car questions
Android is also Linux. Bluetooth works perfectly there. What worked on Xenial with the same Bluetooth device was a disappointment on Focal. I think the developers have updated the Bluetooth stack interface or someone once said something like that. If this is wrong, no problem. But sometimes Linux also has problems with Bluetooth. Personally, that's why I still have older hardware to use Linux.

RE: Whats your solution for WhatsApp?
It would definitely be better to use a native app for WhatsApp on UT. However, I think with UT you will still have to rely on Waydroid as there is no better option.

RE: No USB data transfer on Pixel 3a
I believe that such a port is not always easy. Agreed Alfred doesn't have to have any more work
-
RE: No USB data transfer on Pixel 3a
It is best to ask the port specialist Alfred. Or ask in the Pixel group about the device. There is also an Ubuntu Touch tool where you can set up USB. But as I said, it is better to ask the person responsible for the device.

RE: browser does not work
@arubislander All right, he seems to have a bigger problem with his device.
