@kugiigi Ok, so I'll wait and see how these Apps will behave on Focal, as soon as it gets mature some more.
Thanks for your advice

Some Apps fails to open
Hello everybody.
I'm having some issues with some Desktop Apps and Libertine, they are explained below.
The Apps are:- Dia (Crashes right after displaying the splash screen, but I made it to open with QTerminal, it opens replacing the terminal window. Can't use this solution because of dependency conflicts with other packages in the same container, with QTerminal)
- GPRename (I neither have the icon)
- WinFF (Its window is smaller than the screen and the remainder flashes various colours randomly and very quickly)
- Audacity (Crashes after displaying the splash screen)
- HTTraQT (Loads forever)
- qBittorrent (Loads forever)
Please, help me. Where can I look for informations about potential issues sources, on my system?
Thanks for any help, regards.
Have a nice day -
RE: Sharp Aquos Pad SH-08E
Well, I asked just for curiosity, I was expecting nothing.
Thanks for your help by the way. -
Sharp Aquos Pad SH-08E
Hello everyone.
As in subject, I received the tablet as a gift, and I'd like to mess it up with UT.
Has anyone any clue on what to do?
I unsuccessfully tried to root it, it's Docomo (JP) branded and it's carrier locked.
No SIM actually works except Docomo and it's impossible to upgrade Android without SIM AND outside Japan.
I can't boot in download or in recovery. (Can't remember which at the moment)Thanks a lot for any help.

RE: Libertine container now installs Qt5 by default
@arubislander I didn't pay much attention to be honest
-
RE: Libertine container now installs Qt5 by default
@arubislander no, I'm using Xenial and, in Xenial, overnight, Libertine container started to install Qt5 instead of Qt4.
This used to happen in eg when installing OpenShot, but shouldn't be the default.
Due to this, I can no longer install LMMS, Scribus and Audacity in Libertine (Xenial), as I can't downgrade Qt, but the day before I was able to install such packages.
What happened then?Edit: by the way, I made it to manually remove Qt5 and install Qt4.
-
RE: Libertine container now installs Qt5 by default
@arubislander I don't understand, so we have Focal repos for container initialization, but Xenial repos for package management? (in Xenial)
Or is Focal repo missing an updated LMMS package etc? -
RE: Libertine tweak tool, how to install on Focal?
Excuse me, but I bet if we can set a certain display resolution, the DPI settings would be surpassed.
In the same device as I now use with UT, I used to have Android and Termux/Andronix+Ubuntu XFCE.
It used to work (graphically) very well by setting a 1280x720 display resolution for VNC (the X Server is actually deployed with VNC in Termux and the like systems).
Why then don't I stick with Termux? Hardware support = none!By the way, forcing a customized resolution instead of DPI could be a game changer.

RE: Remove uninstalled Apps from WayDroid helper and from Drawer
@lakotaubp just did it, sorry, I forgot to do it
-
RE: Set my preferred screen resolution
@arubislander yes, I saw it, but unfortunately it has no effect in Libertine.
Darn, I was really hoping in changing resolution -
RE: Libertine container now installs Qt5 by default
@arubislander uhm, reading again at this topic, I did some messing up with my argumentation.
The point is that overnight the Libertine container started to include Qt5 in the "base" setup, making it impossible to install LMMS, Scribus and Audacity (among others).
What I hope for is to have back the option to install such packages (so an updated version of them, supporting Qt5) or to have back the "good old" container, with Qt4.Does this make sense now?
In the previous post I then digress that Dia runs if opened from QTerminal, in the same window as the terminal itself, and I don't know if Audacity does too.
Sorry for the confusion.
Regards

RE: Set my preferred screen resolution
@applee in truth, I'm looking to set the display resolution of Ubuntu Touch.
This will reflect for sure on WayDroid and Libertine.
Maybe I accidentally posted in the wrong section or I didn't be clear in writing my question, sorry then -
RE: Remove uninstalled Apps from WayDroid helper and from Drawer
@jakub Hey, thanks a lot!
Exactly what I was looking for -
Remove uninstalled Apps from WayDroid helper and from Drawer
Hello everyone.
I sucessfuly installed WayDroid in UT Xenial, using WayDroid Helper.
Now, I installed some Apps with Aurora Store, then I removed those that didn't work.
Unfortunately, such removed Apps are still listed in WayDroid Helper, and this is confusing for me.
Is it there any way to clear this list? Thanks for any help.
Have a nice day, regards

RE: Libertine container now installs Qt5 by default
@arubislander said in Libertine container now installs Qt5 by default:
@idj Not sure what update you are hoping for. Packages available in Libertine are mostly those that are in the Focal repos as such. They are not maintained by the UBports project
I see, thanks. I was hoping I could install a newer LMMS or Scribus version, or that the Qt would be downgraded back

Libertine container now installs Qt5 by default
Hello everyone.
Since Libertine container installs Qt5 by default, I can no longer install Scribus and LMMS. Audacity is another issue, but it doesn't neither run (it crashes after splash screen), as Dia does.
Moreover, I've been able to run Dia with QTerminal (amomg others more) which normally would crash on launch.
Will there be an update on either side? (App or Qt)Thanks for any help, regards.
Have a nice day -
RE: Libertine tweak tool, how to install on Focal?
Thanks a lot guys, but I switched to Xenial and I'll stick with it.
Also, I'll not use LTT anymore, because it causes me issues.
The best thing I'll do, if it's possible and if I'll learn how, is to lower screen resolution to 1280x720 -
Set my preferred screen resolution
Hello everyone.
How can I setup my screen resolution?
I'd like it to be 1280x720 or 720x1280, especially in Libertine.
I tried creating a xorg.conf inside a Libertine container, no luck.
Libertine tweak tool doesn't completely do the job, as it makes some UI elements unclickable and some other keeps small.
Also, I'd need a way to open the keyboard on demand, in example in Apps like XTerm, which don't do this automatically. Thanks for any help, regards.

RE: Libertine tested apps, hacks, tips and tricks
Hello everyone.
I'm trying to use some Apps, but they halt at the load screen.
These are:- htrraqt
- qbittorrent
- umbrello
- dia (crashes)
I just hope a workaround exists, like the one with dbus-launch explained earlier. Edit: the problem with the first 3 Apps is related to xcb QT platform, I discovered running from terminal. How can I solve?
Thanks for any help.
