    • RE: GPS location service on N5 not working at all

@AppLee I have restarted the phone.

Here is the full story. It took about 30 minutes to get a a fix in uNav. Afterwards uNav would get a fix instantly, but other applications wouldn't. After restarting the phone uNav struggles too. I have just waited 5 minutes, and there is no fix in sight. It used to be (almost) instantaneous before the update.

I have similar issues with location on my Nexus 5 since updating to OTA-10.

    • RE: How to go back to OTA-3?

@krille For me GPS worked after a fresh install (with wipe) and then stopped working after the first restart. I am back to OTA-3 now and GPS works again. Hopefully GPS and media player will work in OTA-6.

OK, I hacked ubports-installer to install version 3, rather than the latest version and it installed OTA-3 for me.

There is a reference to both OTA-5 and 16.04

    • RE: Nexus 5 GPS Errors and other issues

@Lakotaubp I have both wifi and data. On OTA-3 it usual took seconds to get my approximate position. Why does it take 5 minities? Is AGPS (mozilla location services) off on 16.04?

    • RE: How to go back to OTA-3?

@advocatux it looks like the json of 15.04/rc is also pointing to 16.04 and the same for devel.

    • RE: How to go back to OTA-3?

@advocatux unfortunately I can't live with either of these issues. If and when they are fixed, I'll reconsider.

Removed the cache and tried it again. Still installing OTA-5. I see some "16.04"-s and "OTA-5"-s in the json. This does not smell right.

    • RE: Nexus 5 GPS Errors and other issues

Here is my experience. I flash my device with wipe data. Install Unav, the location is detected correctly within seconds. After reboot, location isn't detected any more, no matter what I try.

    • How to go back to OTA-3?

I have updated my Nexus 5 to OTA-5. However it has broken my GPS as described here and it has also broken UTmedia, so there is no way to play videos (the built in media player has been broken since way back when). Unfortunately this makes OTA-5 unusable for me as a daily driver.

I am wondering if I can go back to OTA-3? I tried to flash through ubports-installer and selected 15.04/stable, but it flashed OTA-5.

      Thanks!
