Having an option to create a poll would be nicer. This kind of forum is new to me so i don't know if such a feature is available. It would make it a lot easier in this case instead of sending direct messages plus more fun to follow.

@domubpkm Could you elaborate on that? What exactly doesn't work correctly?

RE: VP22 Upgrade from 24.04-1.0 to 24.04-1.1 failed
@pparent I indeed noticed some slight performance improvement for example when swiping from the right to show the running apps, slide through them and swipe to close the apps.
Edit: After using it some more i also noticed that the Open Store is more responsive and sliding down the menu's from the top bar is a much smoother experience. I'm very pleased with this release.

@pparent On my Volla Phone X and Lenovo Tab the upgrade went flawless. Only the Volla Phone 22 had issues. I mentioned it on Telegram but didn't have time to report it to the dev's.

I had the same issue with my Volla Phone 22 after updating to the latest stable release. Factory reset didn't work either and got stuck in a boot loop.
I used the installer to re-flash the phone and it's working now as should.

RE: Recommendations for Ubuntu Touch
@ufoddos said in Recommendations for Ubuntu Touch:
I dislike Android because it's closed, increasingly sluggish, has a bloated design, a virtual machine mechanism, consumes a lot of power, has excessively high device requirements, pushes system junk, and isn't a true Linux distribution.
I noticed you only use the forum to rant about and bash android and other OS's which isn't really adding anything useful and it's getting annoying. This doesn't get you anywhere, spreads a negative vibe which the community doesn't need and people start to feel uncomfortable. It's also not very inviting to other people who want to join the community and forum and could hold them back to register.
Let me tell you that Android isn't consuming a lot of power at all but it's the (google) services that run in the background and free apps from the Play Store that consume a lot.
Volla OS, which is Android (Lineage OS) based and used on the Volla Phones, is a de-googled privacy focused mobile OS and as a test i installed it once on my Volla Phone X and Volla Phone 22. The battery lasted about a week on one charge with simple basic usage of the phones and wifi constantly on. The OS has no google services running in the background and that's why it lasted longer to drain the battery. The Nokia 6.2 with Android that i have lasted 1.5 to 2 days on a single charge with the same basic usage.Ubuntu Touch is secure because it's a immutable OS, it's already privacy focused and doesn't have anything to do with government censorship and surveillance at all. There are already web apps available from the Open Store and you are able to create your own.
I get the impression you didn't use Ubuntu Touch yet and didn't read any documentation or info about what UT actually is. Maybe it's time you gave it a try and learn about it.

Android is garbage.
Android is filthy, stained with blood, and iOS isn't much better. Is this really necessary? If you want to vent and rage (flame & bash) then this is certainly not the place to do so imho. https://ubports.com/code-of-conduct

RE: Ubuntu Touch and Sailfish OS
@ufoddos Why open a second topic on the same matter instead of continuing here: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/11673/can-ubuntu-touch-be-merged-with-sailfish-os-create-a-true-linux-mobile-system-to-replace-android

RE: Can Ubuntu Touch be merged with Sailfish os? Create a true linux mobile system to replace Android
@ufoddos Both Ubuntu Touch and Sailfish OS are true Linux mobile OS's and there are more out there. A merge wouldn't be working since every project has their own vision and how they want to do things. Why do you think there's a plethora of different Linux based distributions out there....?
By the way calling another OS rubbish, crap or junk is against the rules/CoC and considered flaming or bashing which can have a negative backlash on the community. The last thing we need is negativity.

RE: Volla Phone 22 - Bricked
@Matt7896 I'm in the same situation and it would have been better and nice if you shared how to do the procedure on reflashing the bricked Volla Phone 22. I just can't get my head around it, so a guide would be more than welcome.
