RE: Q&A 57 This Saturday 24th Of August At 19:00 UTC
What's the next device (besides the Pinephone and Librem 5) that's looking like a good candidate to be considered a "supported" device? My Nexus 5 is working well, but the components (battery in particular) aren't getting any newer, wondering if there isn't a somewhat newer device that would be a smart investment.

RE: PinePhone
@Djhg2000 Wow, that's much more detail than I expected, thanks! Certainly gives some perspective as to what would be involved in making this an audio-centric device As I said, I'll be thrilled just to have a device that's 1)Running Linux and 2)Has current hardware that can be fixed/replaced as needed....

RE: Notes and Evernote Poll
4 Standard Notes, use the UT Standard Notes App on my Nexus 5 and 7

RE: [SOLVED] Is there a torch/flashlight app for Nexus 5?
@MarkG_108 You could always contact the author and see if they'll work on it for the N5. Also, you can turn the flashlight on via the Battery section in the top menu.

RE: PinePhone
Is there a way to confirm that the Pinephone will work as well "out of the box" as my Nexus 5 running Ubuntu Touch? In other words, would I be losing any functionality by switching to it when it comes out?

RE: Open Store's warning sucks big. Can we have a "Safe Store"?
So, you can't be trusted to not download an app that you've been warned about? One of the things that appeals to me most about using a Linux system (phone or computer) is that it puts ownership back in the hands of the user- if you break your system YOU can fix it. And luckily there's also a great community that will help you if it does break

RE: Flas back
YES! I can now stream my local jazz station on my phone, thank you!

RE: PinePhone
What sort of dac/amp are you using for this? Obviously a low priority, but it would be FANTASTIC to be able to throw a bunch of flac files on an microsd card and just bring this one device with me when I'm out and about, without also having to bring a dongle/amp/dap.

How can non-developers/programmers help with this project?

RE: Launcher Modular
YAY! Battery drain issue seems to be fixed with the newest update!

RE: PinePhone
@dualnature Yes, it would, but I'm afraid the audiophile/ubuntu touch user is a rather small group. Would be fantastic if we could "hack" the pinephone to add maybe a nicer dac/amp- maybe even a balanced headphone jack and extra battery pack. For now, I'll just be thrilled to get a phone running Linux with current/replaceable hardware...

RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 66 Saturday 28th Of December At 19:00 UTC
How's the progress on the HTC 10? Also, is there a way to track the progress off the newly ported devices (OnePlus 3/3T, Sony Xperia, LG V20, etc..)? Postmarket OS has a nice example of what I mean: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Devices

RE: Spotify client
You know, if you switch to Tidal you can run it from the terminal

RE: Spotify client
@PhoenixLandPirat It's definitely more suited for desktop use with a keyboard where you can assign keys to control the playback. I was happy how well it worked through the terminal though Definitely less resource hungry than a dedicated app with GUI would be...
