- bug fixes, improve user experience. For instances N5 loses wifi after every reboot
- working caldav/carddav integration (I could add a calendar but it didn't sync or show calendar entries)
- replace the ubuntu store with openstore
- double tap to sleep/awake would be a very nifty feature

Apply keyboard dictionary
Hi,
soon to be volla phone owner.
I want to switch from Android (Lineage OS) to Ubuntu Touch and would like to take the Keyboard dictionary with me. So the words I have stored in the Keyboard (AnySoftKeyboard) own dictionary.
Is this possible?BR,

RE: Daily usable ?
@hans1977se wifi settings are forgotten, have to set the wifi credentials after every reboot.

@hans1977se
Also happened before OTA-2. Think there are two different hardware versions of the N5.. -

RE: Branding UBports: OS name / Project Logo / Project Name
Let's cut the Ubuntu rope getting a complete different name. We are not a subdivision of Canonical!
How about Ubantu?Thinking about something with pirates because it's bad ass just like I feel when using Ubuntu Touch.
Unfortunately Black Flag is already taken.
Pirate OS is too obvious, kinda childish. Good name for a raspberri pi operated mobile.
How about Keelhaul? Or Mutiny which is also a geeky reference to the TV Show "Halt and Catch Fire"? Think that was also considered for Yunit afaik.
Peg Leg MOS (MOS == mobile operating system), three "words" with 3 letters - sounds catchy. -
RE: Daily usable ?
Depends of your requirements!
For instance I will use it as a daily driver as soon as:
- wifi bug is fixed (N5)
- dekko works better
- caldav/caldat works

The big scope question
Hi,
starting this thread as a result of the last q&a session where the community were asked to tell its opinion on scopes.
First of all I'm not a developer, this is just the point of view of a regular john doe.
In general I welcome the scope idea. I didn't like the implementation (speaking past tense because I used Ubuntu Touch as daily driver before it was burried by canonical).
I'd like to see scopes as content collecter and to take direct control of actions like in Sailfish OS.
For instance when I clicked a song (music scope) the music app was opened. Wish the scopes showed the content straight inside the scope being more like an independent entity instead of opening apps. This reduced the scope idea or feeling a little imho.BR
