@Ida_ That's what I am trying to do here.

Sweden requires 4G (voLTE) to make calls. I am on Hallon (Tre) and voLTE does not work. SMS and emergency calls work. I have tried contacting other carriers but they say they don't know or that it isn't supported.

Would appreciate it if anyone running Ubuntu Touch in Sweden could tell me what carrier they are using, or if there is some other solution, like other operating system that isn't Android.

Can you confirm that calling on Ubuntu Touch works with voLTE on Tele2 in Sweden? Because I might switch then, as the others are saying they don't know or that they can't. Comviq said they didn't know.

@Rondarius Yes, they were going to check and get back to me.

@Rondarius I managed to change the AccessPointName to ims.tre.se (data.tre.se gave an error)

Then set it to active. But when i run systemctl restart ofono it gets set to active = 0 again.

My guess is my carrier is rejecting the connection after which ofono disables it again. Or something like that.

@Rondarius I didn't understand you at first. I did what you suggested and calls still don't work.

I also tried enabling ims by running:

sudo ./activate-context 3
sudo systemctl restart ofono

but ofono set's it back to disabled when it activates.

Both settings are the same however, and enabling the second one doesn't make a difference.

I can press + and there is a third setting for LTE there, but I enter data there and press the checkmark, but it is not added to the list.

Did phonecalls work when the phone was on Fairphone OS/Android?

I don't know because I installed Ubuntu Touch first thing I did.

I tried calling 112 and it worked actually, I got a tone. Just normal calls don't.

Ok I found this:

"How do I know if VoLTE is working?
For VoLTE to work, the following conditions have to be met:

Your phone supports VoLTE on Ubuntu Touch.

Your carrier and your SIM card supports VoLTE.

Ubuntu Touch contains a VoLTE configuration for your carrier.

If the conditions are met, and the phone successfully establishes a VoLTE connection, the VoLTE logo will appear after your carrier name in the Network indicator."

My phone does not have the VoLTE logo so I guess, Ubuntu Touch does not contain a VoLTE configuration for my carrier. Does anyone know where I can access a list of supported carriers?

Is there some whitelisting or something that the carrier must do for it to work?

I now see that:

Calling over VoLTE is not supported, please check that this is not a requirement in your country.

It seems to be a requirement here in Sweden.

Just installed Ubuntu Touch on a Fairphone 4.

I can't make calls. It tries to call but there is silence and nothing happens.
Incoming calls result in a message being received that someone tried to call.

SMS and Internet works.

voLTE on and off doesn't seem to make a difference.
3G no longer works in Sweden. The phone is set to 2G/3G/4G/5G.
The APN settings seem correct.

I've contacted the operator and they don't seem to know if Ubuntu Touch is supported. The only other low cost operator there is here also doesn't know they say.
