In my case, I let Data on all the time especially to receive MMS (I changed my phone contract for this), but this changed nothing... And I never receive notifications. But every once in a while, I get one... Mystère!

Hello! In my case (BQ hd5), most of the time, I don't receive mms. And I never know it. People have to send mms several time until I finally receive it. Why it works sometime and not all the time? Old question. But I think it is a important issue, one of the most important point of a phone, with calls of course.

Hi every one.
For a month now, my phone (bq e5 hd) looks very tired, and has to start twice: after the ubunto screen, it stop and restarts.
It is maybe linked with the upower indicator app which I deleted. But the problem is still there. I also change the update channel to candidate and my phone updated, but it didn't fixe the issue. Any idea?

@dobey I have the same problem. When I receive a call, the screen is off and when I try to turn it on with the power bottom, it turns off so quickly that must of the time, I don't have time to accept the call. I have to play with the power button until I am faster than the screen.
I have a BQ E5 HD unbuntu edition, with the last OTA.

@kugiigi It happened to me many times. I didn't change the path of the files, they are ordered in a sd card. Maybe something happened when I added other files on the card? It is very curious...

Is there a way to save a playlist in the Music app? Each time I create a playlist with my favorite songs, it works until... all the tracks disappear from the list. It is a bit boring to do it again and again.

I had the same issue with a owncloud calendar. When I created the generic calendar on my phone, I provide an url like that:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/
and that's all. It it the owncloud url and the phone could find all the calendars I created on owncloud. BUT, no synchronization after that, from owncloud and also from the phone to owncloud.
So I deleted this account and create again a generic caldav, but this time, I provide a more complete url, like that:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/remote.php/dav/
This url is given as a link into the owncloud's calendar.
Now it works very fine. Hope it will help you.

I am sorry but I come back with my mms issue. So far, it is the biggest ubuntu touch issue for me, because I cannot not if someone sent to me a mms without data connection.
I just have 50Mo data per month, so I cannot let the data on all the time.
Is it possible to have like a "mms only" mode, somewhere like just between the fly mode and the data mode? In this "mms only" mode, all the other apps will be not able to access the internet. It will be very usefull for me, and less dangerous to let permanently the data on :0)

I have a little question. I turned my phone (BQ E5 HD) into the candidate channel, but as a daily user, I would like to turn it to the stable channel. I did it but each time, after a few time, the phone comes back to the candidate channel. Today, I tried again and saw the version 5 update for the stable version. Is it the OTA 7? I currently have the 2018-W01 version. Is it the same but a previous name?

@jezek thanks, I will take a look. The phone is clearly slower than before, it should be a ram or a memory access issue.

IMO 1Gb RAM devices can't handle more than 1 app open at a time, and even that with some care

what? it worked well before. And not only with two apps. If i cannot listen music and read a sms at the same time, I will not longer use this system!

Search for the word "Killing" in your log and you'll see how your phone is running out of memory constantly.

It go back to the "Ubuntu Touch" loading screen a restart quicker than a complete reboot. I will give you the logs tomorrow.

Do you mean the keyboard continues off the top of the screen? If so, I've never seen that behavior. If the keyboard dismisses as normal but never comes back, that is related to https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/595.

Ok, it is the second issue: the keybord dismisses and never comes back.

I updated my BQ E5 HD with the version 24 (2018-W48).
Today, my phone crashed at least 5 times. It happened sometime before the update, but not so often. I was listening music with the music app and doing another thing at the same time: mail checking by dekko or twitter via the twitter web app. It didn't append with the previous version (version 23).
I saw improvements for the calendar and the browser, well done!
Concerning this issue:
"In some apps, dialog boxes will fly off the screen when the keyboard appears."
I have the opposite behavior, especially when I receive a sms, the keybord fly off and I have to leave the discussion, sometime the app to get the keybord back.
