Hmmmm , i tried that conversion many time , best of luck , or get ready to some learning curves...
My tmobile n10 did great without that global conversion , UT installed with the lito said ''unsupported'' version in ubports installer appimage , from linux,of course , almost ** at first try .
**Now knowing what went wrong , like using a ram only (noswap) ''frugal'' distro , you can get short in ram , 8gb was limit , now using zram , it's ok , a hint you probably wont need.

Took a week here to receive bootloader unlocking bin from oneplus , be patient .

mobian aint got their forum , and about sharing potential fixes that may one day come in UT....like droidian using halium12 i saw elsewhere in the Ubports forum.

go to google factory images and flash stock android to both slots. The web installer may not work in this situation. So, you may have to flash manually.

As of now pixel 3a xl is on droidian now ,102 halium9 , downloaded from ubports installer(install with it failed..) , but manualy installing did it . May i stay with droidian some more , learn some more before going back to mobian , droidian now got a forum , no offense to masto/telegram/matrix lovers , but if dealing with forum posts/subjets/devices is one task,
hat's up to managing those same in centralised or not communication options , my humble opinion , or its a privacy mater choices ?!? dont worry , the simple end user i am is way far from posting reverse engineering secrets..........way way far .

Got a pixel 3a xl , tried UT , droidian now , will give mobian a third go , failed to install last 2 attempts , it did state ; unable to find firmware when only flashed to current b slot .
Does anyone know if what AI suggest is ok ?
to flash android 12 to both slots a+ b an ongoing requirement ?

@oldbutndy You asked the wrong guy , i am not in USA , do live near it . But volte does ok on oneplus n10 on 24.04-2.x, yes buy an unlocked one , if t-mobile. I am a not a dev ,simple user .

To my knowledge one+n10 24.04-1.x does no volte yet ,
and , the bloody fun is that bleeding ''dragon'' edge 2.x ,volte OK ,is not having more regressions issues with updates then daily 1.x !!?!
if not less ... until now.
Fear no spitting fuel/blood flying beast...i guess there will be more gliches untill volte+++ get to noble stable .
