    • Detailed procedure for FluffyChat Encryption via Pantalaimon

      Re: FluffyChat Encryption via Pantalaimon

      Hi folks,
I wanted to post this step by step procedure of how I got FluffyChat Encryption via Pantalaimon. I just needed some simple instructions on how to get this working and this is what worked for me.

      1. I went to this site - https://thrrgilag.net/
      2. I clicked on the top post entitled 'pantalaimon-ut 0.4.0, scrolled to the end of the post and and downloaded the click app for my build of UT. I am on the armhf version instead of arm64
      3. Once the click app has been downloaded, I clicked on it and opened it with the UT App Store, and selected install.
      4. Once the app is installed, I opened Pantalaimon from the drawer and selected 'Add homeserver'.
      5. It pretty much filled out all the fields for the matrix.org account and enabled the app to run at startup. Make sure the process is running at this stage
      6. Open up FluffyChat, go to the settings page and logout.
      7. Log back in to FC, click on the hamburger menu, select 'Change homeserver', select Pantalaimon as the server - this will change the servername to 127.0.0.1:8009, and your usual username [@username:matrix.org] and password.
      8. When you now try to send an encrypted message it will ask you to verify the client. It is currently not possible to do this via a popup on FluffyChat. I needed to go into the Element Desktop App -> Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Click on the green link 'verify them in your User Profile'. Select pantalaimon from the list on the right and verify via text.

    • Hotspot and Bluetooth stopped working after installing OTA-15

      Hi folks,

Ever since updating to OTA-15, Ive noticed a few changes on my Nexus 5. I cant get my Hotspot to feature to work, also my bluetooth headset no longer works (lots of noise when the recipient answers the call, also I feel like my battery isnt lasting as long.

Is this just me or are there known issues?

    • Sony Xperia X - many apps crashing / not opening

Morning folks, I tried to set a custom ringtone on the Xperia X and when it got to the stage of getting to the file browser I got the 'Transfer in progress' message from the file browser [See attached image].

My file manager keeps crashing every time I try to open it, even after a phone restart.

Many other apps wont open also, ie gallery, document viewer, authenticator ng etc..., the keep reverting the the System Settings App every time I try to open them.

I'd appreciate any guidance on this.

    • RE: The reply button crashes my Dekko2 client

      @wayne_tbt

This has been sorted by confirming the settings in my Dekko Account. The app crashed because I was using PLAIN for authentication instead of the LOGIN option.

Many thanks to Stefan over at the Dekko telegram group for helping me work throught the issue.

      @Tellina

      Thank you for your reply.

I am using IMAP email on the dekko client.

Pressing the reply icon just crashes dekko for me.

      I'll join the telegram group.

      Thanks,

      Wayne.

    • The reply button crashes my Dekko2 client

      Hi folks,

Im running Dekko2 as my email client on Ubuntu Touch on a Sony Xperia X.
      Im using the dev channel.

Every time I try to reply to an email, dekko2 crashes. Is anyone else experiencing this?

      Best wishes,

      Wayne.

    • RE: Morph browser - The connection is untrusted (for almost every website)

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Whats weird is that I do not have this issue on any of my other devices on this LAN, ie my thinkpad, an android phone, numerous tablets etc... It only apears when using the Morph browser on Ubuntu Touch.

I am using a pfSense router with pfBlockerNG installed. But like I mentioned previously, the problem disappeared for a month and then came back.

I'll have a look at my setup but its difficult to troubleshoot as I do not experience this on any other device.

      Thanks again.

    • Morph browser - The connection is untrusted (for almost every website)

      Hi folks,

I am on the dev channel of Ubuntu Touch. I had a Nexus 5 for a few months and when on my home network the Morph browser was almost unusable, where I was constantly getting the message 'The connection is untrusted'.

I recently updated to the Xperia X and the problem went away for a month and has returned recently. I am using an adblocker inside my network. I get so many 'The connection is untrusted' messages that I have to always be on my mobile data connection for a responsive Morph browser experience.

Is anyone else experiencing this? or is there something I can do the help this behaviour of Morph browser?

      Many thanks,
