Works with Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Merlin. But first I had to reinstall the 0.8.8 installer because I clicked away this udev message. Then I was able to install the new version.

@bre34 No you understood wrong, we are updating to 20.04 but that doe snot mean that our paradigmas and assumptions about how this OS should be will change as well. IDeally it will look the same thn with 16.04 and users wont even notice anything.

My Pixel 1 (2016) still works as it is updated by the LineageOS rom. I got it in 2020 and it still gets updates. Likely it has had updates for the past 5 years. The intent of LineageOS is to extend the life of your phone longer before you need to replace it. The latest update I got gave me the Android 11 layout which I like.

The finger print reader, and all other hardware (apart from the "portrait mode" depth sensor camera lens) has been working on Volla using a Halium 9 port since it was first shipped, so seems to me there is no need to change the port base. Where as Volla X needed the Halium 10 port in order to get finger print reader working.
