@bocephus I have similar sentiments about excessively rounded corner and notches/punchholes but you should calm down 😄 There are valid reasons why Fairphone went for those. I think mainly because available screen components are mostly like that and they can't ask someome to create special components just for them considering their size as a company. Also, it's just the truth that people nowdays expect "edge to egde" screen. Personally, the size, the notch and the rounded corners are turn offs aside from the fact I can't really buy it here in Asia 😄 But if it is easily available here, I might actually consider it because I've been looking for a long term UT phone as my daily driver.

☀ Note that having fixed the issue, I think not mentioned, of memory leaks that the Volla has always had around (and to a lesser extent some other smartphones) and amplified recently, which resulted in Lomiri crashing all the time, is really a more than significant progress in the comfort of use.

with the new 20.04 based version we will see the use of the newer Mir version on UT.
what benefits will this change bring? will there be a performance improvement? do you already know what new features could be introduced with the new mir?

with the new base and the new mir will we finally see solved the problems that block the usability of UT on Rpi4?

we recently saw good progress in terms of feature coverage thank to ie Alfred an Alberto work. but these progress are on 16.04 based version. how much of these progress can be "ported" on 20.04 base?
