The scale looks a bit big to me but awesome work! I might consider buying the PinePhone as my daily driver πŸ™‚

@kugiigi The scale is probably the default from our device setup and can be changed anytime πŸ˜‰

@kugiigi haha I was thinking the reverse. With my eyesight and clumsy fingers, that scale would be great!

Updated the OP with mention (from a recent wiki update) of charging being to USB PD specifications. I don't actually know enough about USB PD or USB charging in general to know if that's significant, but I put it there for the benefit of those who do know. πŸ™‚

As far as I know, PD means power delivery and it's capable of delivering more power and in both ways, meaning you can charge your phone or your phone can your something else.

Many updates to the OP in the last five or six bullet points, as well as some new images and video links from Lukasz's update, and also of course a direct link to that update, which is an absolute gold mine of great info.

@PINE64 , many thanks for keeping us all in the loop. This is exciting news!

Very glad to see everyone as excited as we are. We cannot wait to hear what developers say when they get their units this month / early October. Also thank you for all the support from this community!

So I get that USB PD means quick charging, which is good. It's been a while since I read the whole topic, but I don't think it's been mentioned; with USB-C, does it mean this device could potentially support convergence?

@kugiigi The SOC is presently limited to doing either HDMI or LCD out, unless you mirror the displays. That, however, is a bit problematic due to the 1440x720 resolution on the PinePhone. But everything is a subject to change and with time there may be a way to output to both the PinePhone LCD and separately to HDMI.
