i had fun finding the ordering part of the page , got there by clicking on MORE, at the bottom of the page,
( could be frustrating) ........... -
@Marathon2422 I went to the site to buy the community pinephone and it only comes out to pay with paypal.no you can pay with normal credit card ?
-
@ricardo65 I believe you can pay with normal credit card on the paypal site It should be an option located under the area where you are prompted to sign in to Paypal.
-
@Loops I'm back on the site and I've reached the end and it only comes out with paypal.it would be good if this could be cleared up because everybody doesn't have paypal
-
@trainailleur said in PinePhone:
@ricardo65 We'll have some announcements coming soon
So you're saying we should stand by for the 8GB/256GB Rockchip version?
8GB/256GB with a 1080p or 1440p screen would be so gosh darn nice, but I think that might be to dreamy!
-
@ricardo65
It does not tell you, but click on Paypal ,then the next screen has the option to select your choice of credit card -
@AppLee In times of COVID19 isolation these news made my day
-
@domubpkm Not sure I understand your question? what do you mean by 'esploitation' ?
-
@PINE64 Sorry for my english... I wanted to say OS..
Operating SystemThe UT pinphone is bought, it's done for me !
But to be clearer, what is the status of the porting to the Pinphone of the other OSes that are supposed to accept android applications ? Because this is an important point in my opinion.
-
@domubpkm Different OSes are at various stages of completion. There are systems that feel like 'they're almost there' while others feel distinctly like alpha software. Some systems like postmarketOS or Debian + Phosh are capable of running android applications (to a degree) - here is an example.
Perhaps there are other OSes that run android apps too - I don' know that for a fact however. -
I know most of the testing is being done in Europe but for us in the US, the time zone issue on UT Pinephone is a pain since we're so far from GMT.
-
Hey all, a significant milestone has been reached - the PinePhone now supports OTA updates. If you have a BH phone, you can download the image here. You no longer need to reflash to stay up-to-date, just update. The image also features a significant performance improvement.
-
What's the state of the USB-C display out and the DisplayPort alt drivers?
-
@heng
That is not a priority.
Once most phone features are working there will be work to do on that topic.
But as far as I know the driver for USB-C display is not even ready for the kernel. -
@AppLee Does any other device have external display support other than the old nexus 5?
-
For those with BH phones - if you want to try out location services and provide feedback, then here's the instructions

Hello,
Did anyone received PinePhone UBports Community Edition ? I'm curious if they started to ship it the customers. I didn't get any info regarding shipping yet.
-
@tricky Nobody received them yet. They will ship out in May or June. Shipping will likely take a month, without customs delays or customs issues. Practice patience.
-
Hi @PINE64
For the Volla Phone, we are informed on Indiegogo of the number of phones that have been "ordered" at time t.
Could you do the same for the Pinephone on your site? That would be interesting.
Depending on whether or not you wish to make a distinction between the categories.
Or do you consider these indicators to be confidential for you? -
@domubpkm Indeed, number of sold pieces is indicated. However this value might concern all Volla versions, and not only UT OS edition. (I guess)
