20.04 Focal: uNav freezes with GPS enabled

Hi everyone!
I migrated uNav to focal, but after enabling the GPS, if I enter into a QML dialog (Search or Settings) and exit, the UI is frozen. The bug comes from here.
Any idea please? Thank you in advance!
PS: How to reproduce:
- Open uNav in focal.
- Enable the GPS. (If I don't enable the GPS, the UI will not freeze).
- Click on Settings icon (top bar).
- Click on Back button (top bar).
- Bug: UI is frozen.

@costales I'm not sure it is relative to Unav, I experiment the same problem with Pure Maps.

I also have the feeling that it is not related to uNav, because almost the same thing happens with Pure Maps.
If I don't specify the location at the beginning and simply enter a destination and then specify the location, it works and I can start the navigation.
Unfortunately, the navigation suddenly freezes after a certain time. -
Happens to Morph as well: https://gitlab.com/ubports/development/core/morph-browser/-/issues/554 ... So this sounds like some system issue then.

Had the same only can it trigger on another way.
- enable gps
- start Unav
- search destination and confirm
- then hit the button to begin the route so gps will start searching
- cancel by searching new destination and confirm
- hit the start button and the freezes

The last days I've used the navigation a lot for a motorcycle tour and it was very annoying when the navigation freezes.
I've played around with noble on my spare phone and it seems, that this bug is present there as well
So hopefully we'll get this fixed in near future, to have a reliable working navigation again (as we had in 16.04).
Is there anything we can provide to the devs @costales @rinigus or help in any other way? -

@CiberSheep I think that's also the wrong place, because it must be a problem in the location-daemon/gps-daemon.
I've tested it again with todays build of noble and it's the same behavior like under focal: unav, puremaps and even morph are freezing once you have searched your position and want to do something with it (e.g. calculate a route from the actual position). Maybe @peat_psuwit does have an idea or can even take a look at it? -
I can't run osm scout driver on noble. So are map provided to apps?
Via GPS Toolkit, i can see GPS is working well. -

@CiberSheep @TheBird @zubozrout Can you please mention on which device these freezes happen to you? I've opened a bugreport but it seems to work on a Fairphone 4 (qualcom device...).
For me these freezes are happening on Vollaphone and Vollaphone22 running Focal and Noble. -
Using Oneplus Nord N10, 20.04 OTA 7:
TL;DR - uNav freezes after location is acquired, Morph freezes upon clicking Allow in Permission Request for location, PureMaps will crash after location acquired the first time, then works well upon re-opening.-uNav freezes reliably with GPS, seemingly after GPS position is acquired. It will freeze with "Waiting for GPS" still visible, but not immediately, I can still shift from light to dark mode for example, until suddenly I can't click anything in the app.
-Morph freezes reliably after enabling location on navigation websites (tried google maps and waze.) Specifically, I select "Your Location", Morph brings up the UT Permission Request to share location, I click Allow, the website says "Waze/GoogleMaps does not have permission to use your location", I repeat the process, and Morph freezes if I click Allow, with Permission Request still visible.
-in PureMaps' Navigation menu if I use Current Position and wait for the wheel to stop scrolling (position acquired), then click to enter a destination, the app will crash, not freeze. It just closes itself. But then if I re-open the app, I can do the same and it doesn't crash and successfully navigates. I've navigated long distances using PureMaps. I think it may have crashed unexpectedly during navigation once or twice, but generally it works for me. I can't recall it ever freezing.
Not sure why my experience is different, but I've spent some time testing and this all seems to happens consistently for me.

@kristatos I see this freeze on a Google Pixel 3A as well (UT 20.04 OTA-8 fully up-to-date), at least in uNav -- I haven't tried the other apps yet.
