Of course! I even made sysmlinks in /usr/local/bin as some people advised, included the user in several groups, e.g. dialout, all dependencies, adb and fastboot work, I flashed TWRP with this fastboot - fine, tried it from root as well, in short, provided it with everything ubports-installer needed, tried also the version that works via snapd according to these instructions:

The result is the same for all of them - a brick.

P.S. The installer finds the phone, identifies it as Lavender, does something fun with it... It downloads a lot of files it needs, flashes it, sends it to reboot and - bricked. I wait 15 minutes and nothing loads, maybe I should have waited a hour, it do somthing?
But it seems to me that every minute the "watchdog" was triggered and the phone rebooted, but I can't say for sure.

Make sure that the username and password are correct. The command may need the root privileges, you can try to use sudo before it, also try adding yet another parameter: vers=2.0

and yet few points about the Redmi Note 7 functions ....

1. USSD from the dialer does't work, but python scripts in the shell OK
2. Compass function, does it work or not, is there any application?
3. GPS function. The uNav wasn't working. Is everything OK now?
4. IR to control home appliances, in Andorid there is an application
5. No charging logo/indicator when powercord is connected

@carlod Some people claim that the files on the 'persist' (ext4) and 'persist_image' (emmc) partitions were changed, but I saved and restored those too. So something else. Maybe some code inside in the WiFi chip (Qualcomm) ? Unfortunately I do not know yet in detail how it works.

@keneda If the community will not set a goal of independent operation of UT with smartphone hardware as it do Librem and Pine, after a while Google will shut down the ability to use its components to work UT. For this, cryptographic means of binding of software and hardware can be used by Google. On the other hand, we can go the current way, then if UT gains more popularity, we can make own HAL, independent of Android, and the manufacturers themselves will write drivers for Linux and fit it into that HAL.
