@dunbrokin What I might be missing is that there is another way of doing what I am trying to achieve. Go to the Contacts App. Find the person's name, click on it...and then choose to email them, phone them or message them. It is just a different way (and in some ways more logical) than what I normally do i.e. go to the email client first and expect that the recipients name will be able to pop up on the correct location. So, I guess this is solved!

@dreamer I got it working without waydroid......I downloaded an unofficial app from some where... f-droid maybe?! Sorry I forget where it was..and it works with UBports.

@s710 I downloaded the Whattsapp Web app from the online OpenStore using Morph to find and download it. I then installed it on my OP6 UBports (20.04) phone. It works after a fashion, it has not been updated for a while (April 23). It is hard to get it to adapt to the phone screen. I would probably work on a "as necessary" basis....but not really suitable for regular daily use - that is just my opinion and I have only tried it on my phone.....but it does actually work.

@carbonated Actually, you are correct, I apologise for giving incorrect information....I upgraded the phone about a week a go to version 430 and it seemed to work.....and than I stuck the phone in a drawer (it is not my main phone) and on firing it up again to check the update number, I find it is still on some date back in the 1970s. Sorry again!

There used to be an app called Full Circle (or something like that) which allowed you to write a message on the lock screen full circle page. It does not seem to exist any-more.....how can I now write on the lock page to tell somebody that they should contact this person on this email/phone no if the phone is lost?

@wally I have the N10 also...the Tmobile version....and Tmobile is not in NZ....but I have just finished unlocking the bootloader and installing Liineage on it. See these two sites!

@jam1388 Thank you for that....but the phone number they give is not good for NZ. Would somebody mind calling them for me and getting the token that will release my metro Nord N10 5g. I can give you the serial number by email.

@jam1388 I have the same problem...and tried LineageOS....but that has the same problem....you have to have the bootloader unlocked and in the Metro version it can only be unlocked by T-Mobile and I have applied to them for the unlock code and received nothing in reply...probably because I do not live in the US...and bought this phone from the US via Ebay!
