RE: Can BQ M10 be connected to an external display?
I've done it successfully with a hdmi cable on my M10FHD.

RE: Pure maps navigation port
@rinigus Thank you. OpenCage appears, on first use, to work perfectly.
BA11 2JY, BS7 8RW, PL2 1SQ all failed in Photon but worked with OpenCage.

RE: Pure maps navigation port
Love the approach. It works really well so far. Searching using UK postcodes appears temperamentall at best. It's easy enough to work around but would be good not to have to work around.

RE: Nexus 7 deb - two problems with OTA9
Although I can't provide any sort of solution I have the same two issues on my recently acquired Nexus 7 deb. In addition rotation doesn't work (although I know this is an issue on Android too); also it reboots itself whenever I turn it off. It's not immediate but takes up to about 20 minutes.
That said, it's a great little tablet with UT on it.

RE: Can Morph browser save login credentials?
It certainly saves logins. As far as I can tell logins on webapps are a bit patchy.

RE: OTA5 scopes?
@mynameisrichard said in OTA5 scopes?:
Ah that's a shame. The today scope in particular is the single most useful thing I've seen on any phone. I understand the reasoning though.
I totally agree. I will miss the Today scope, although it has been getting less useful than it was for a while now.

RE: Automatic upgrade to OTA-4
Is the upgrade not from 16.04 RC (OTA 4) to OTA 5? Or have I misunderstood?

RE: Welcome to the UBports community! Introduce yourself here!
You certainly aren't the oldest on the forum. A mere child in fact.

RE: failed to install ubport on my bq m10 hd
If I recall correctly you need to install the Canonical image from bq website before you can upgrade to UBports version of Ubuntu Touch.
-
RE: Samsung galaxy j5 2017
Ubuntu Touch works with a very few devices at the moment. You can see the list here Supported devces
A few others work to some degree here
In principle any device can be supported but requires someone to do the porting of the device. That's time consuming process and there are more important tasks at the moment than porting to many devices. New devices need to be able to use Halium, to run Ubuntu 16.04, so that's the place to start.

RE: Catch 22 after factory reset
MDT are ending support for UBports. This might be the problem. Try using the UBports Installer. It requires you to install a snap so you need snapd (IIRC) on your PC. I've also found that you may need to tell it which device you wish to install (manually select device).

RE: Catch 22 after factory reset
krillin is the codename for your bq E4.5 phone. The UBports version isan also based on 15.04 Vivid Vervet. In System Settings click <About> and check which OS you have. UBports latest version is Ubuntu 15.04 (r3). (Canonical version will be (OTA 12 or later).

RE: Catch 22 after factory reset
Ah. I think I should have read your post more carefully. I think you might be on the Canonical version of UT. You probably need to install UBports latest version of UT. https://ubports.com/page/get-ubuntu-touch
When you do that the Openstore app is installed. Then you can install terminal. Hope that works for you. -
RE: Catch 22 after factory reset
Terminal is in the Openstore. You should be able to install it from there.

RE: OnePlus One model 64 GB Sandstone black A0001 not compatible!!!!!
I also have a OPO that said, in the UBports installer, that A0001 was not supported. I clicked "Select device manually," (I'm not sure that those are the actual words now, but that was the general sense of it) and everything worked perfectly. The device was found and UBports installer installed UT successfully.
