@kugiigi Thanks for the information. I don't have any own domain to sign it with Let's Encrypt.
I would say it's not a Nextcloud account limitation, because on other devices (PC, android, iphone) I can access my acc.
@redxxiii matrix is fantasic, we have a ubports space so people can easily find related rooms without having to ask people to redirect them to the right place.
Issue is onboarding, and no great matrix app on ubuntu touch.
Fluffychat is okay, and cinny is great in desktop mode but not fantastic in mobile mode, I have dreams that we'll have neochat or something as good someday, but neochat requres newer qt.
I don't understand why people want to change from iOS/Android to UT but on the other hand still want to use all their services. In my opinion one effort of UT is, that you don't have to use accounts and services from these big companies and still have a functional and free phone in your hand.
I agree. Big Tech surveils you 24/7, exploits your most private data, and tries to control what information you have access to. I am so not down for that. If the only choice was Apple or Android, I would not have a smart phone.
@ktatar156 I seem to remember reading on here somewhere that there is a now a problem adding gmail accounts to dekko2 due to security/authentication changes on the Google side of the fence. There might be a workaround, you will have to do a search for the details I'm afraid.
Edit:
I think I found the info you need, try this thread:-
@dpitti You have to? One of the features of Waydroid Helper is that it will install Waydroid for you. Be it with GAPPS or not. So I don't think you have to use terminal at all.
Note I am not saying you can't or shouldn't. Use whatever you prefer. I've tried both out of curiosity and usually just go with terminal, but there is this option.
@ktatar156 You need to allow insecure apps in the google account for contacts to sync iirc and gmail accounts will work in dekko2 but need setting up in the app this is for 16.04.
