RE: OTA 3 suggestions: your wanted features
Theming, or some sort of dark theme. And nightshift.

RE: Branding UBports: OS name / Project Logo / Project Name
I'd honestly prefer we stick with something like "UBPorts Touch", and keep the robot logo.

Are there any plans - ongoing or not - to upgrade Halium-'s base to android 9? If not, what would have to be done to do so?

RE: Removal of account and posts
There's a Delete Account button on the "Edit Profile" page, although I wouldn't recommend deleting your account.

@dobey Show of the most prominent, visual part of convergence, then use that to explain the other parts in ways that can be easily understood without a long explanation.

Too heretical?
Maybe not too heretical, but maybe difficult - Samsung's been working on deX for a long while now, so you'd have to convince them to give up all of their desktop related work. You also have to get Mir & Unity8 working on android, which would in itself be a huge task.

RE: Could UBports adopt Google's blob emoji from Android 4.4?
I'd love that too.
The blob emoji are the best. -
RE: OnePlus 5 support?
Well, if your only trying to get one ROM working, at best only slightly. But if you want multiple, like Plasma Mobile, Ubuntu Touch, and LineageOS, then it shall become very much so.

Hi,
you need to unlock the bootloader if it is still locked, and you need to enable developer mode in android, and authorize the adb access the first time you are connecting to the PC - do you need more infos on that?
BR Florian
Hi Florian.
Is unlocking the bootloader the same as rooting?
Could you clarify 'authorize the adb access'? Is that simply: "sudo apt install adb fastboot"?Unlocking the bootloader is a separate process that allows you to flash (install) OS software onto your phone via fastboot. When you first connect your phone to your computer with ADB running and developer mode on, a dialog will appear on your phone asking if you want to allow the computer to affect your device. IIRC neither of these require rooting, and are often prerequisites themselves for rooting.

RE: What is your main points for a perfect personal phone operative system?
I'd like it to open, to be customized extensively. Swap kernels, colour schemes, layouts, binding, edit /system and such, and so on. Even be able to use my own graphical shell, should I want to.
I want it to be easy to develop for. In the long term, someone's going to have to make a fully-featured IDE for ubports.
I want it to be easily updateable. I don't want to be left on OTA-11 when OTA-14 exists. In a best-case scenario, if it comes down to it, I'd like to be able to just pull some files from my phone and build it with the new source to get a buggy, yet existing base to update with.
I know a lot of people here hate Google, but I personally love what they do and would like the option to use Google Services.
