Marius earlier this week hinted that some people are less than supportive in the the wider Linux community about the work that he and others do in open source, at least that was my reading. I just wanted to say that I REALLY appreciate what you (the wider UB Ports family) have done for us that want a Linux phone. I really enjoy the Q & As (currently watching 94 late), mainly because I see a range of people across the world that really enjoy each other's company and working on a project that they are proud of. They are always fun to watch. I wish I could get more involved and help. I do little more than buy and use the phones and run the software, but nothing make me happier than using a Ubuntu phone.
So, please keep doing what you are doing, and I for one appreciate all that you do.

RE: Dekko fails to load with latest update Xiaomi Redmi Note 7
@alexjoverton Same on my BQ 4.5 and Nexus 5. On my Nexus, I used the UT Tweak app to reset the cache etc, but had to then reinstall my IMAP account, but it is working again. I haven't done the same on my BQ as it is a backup phone, but Dekko is just a white page and no more.

RE: Today Is Q&A Day!
@applee I have to agree. I really enjoy the shows and felt bad that the team needed to justify themselves for all the excellent work they are doing with limited resources and time.

RE: Pinephone sometimes hangs during boot
I get the same and do the same process, though not as frequently as you indicate.
One for the Issues page on Gitlab? Assuming it is not already there.

@pault bug reports are over here I think: https://gitlab.com/ubports/community-ports/pinephone/-/issues

RE: Access to social websites with BQ Aquaris E4.5
@turgore There are some Facebook (Sailbook) and Twitter apps in the App Store which work well for me (on my 4.5).

RE: Pinephone (braveheart)
@Flohack Apologies for posting this here. I have tried to register on the gitlab site but so far it is refusing my registration. On there, issue # 78 shows a picture of vertical lines running down the phone. I had that for a bit, but now, with download 280, or thereabouts, they are visible (though faint), but only on the login screen. The screen flickers a lot too. Just posting as Dalton said on the ticket that no-one else had reported a similar issue with their Braveheart. Sorry, image not the best.
No longer the case since about #290

RE: Strange messaging issue.Bug?
@barkeff I have had that a couple of time on both my Nexus 5 and BQ 4.5. Currently both running RC versions.

RE: Happy New Year!!
@UBportsNews ..and to you all. You all deserve a well earned break. Marius could even "play some games".

RE: After installing OTA-11 no connection via USB 2 Linux PC (Aquarius E4.5)
Mine is working OK after OTA-11, though it does tend to keep popping up mtp error windows and then disappearing
now and then.

RE: Remove install download
@advocatux That did the trick. Should have realised. Thanks for the help.
-
RE: Remove install download
@advocatux Thanks, I tried that but it is still there. I think it needs removing from something like the apt folder?
-
RE: Remove install download
@advocatux The UT Tweak I have (0.4.17) doesn't seem to have that facility.

Remove install download
I set my BQ 4.5 channel back to stable to get OTA-10, which I now have. However, it had already downloaded a weekly RC release which is now at the top of the install window. Is there a way I can delete it? I have re-booted a few times, but it is still there. Not a massive deal, but it would be nice to make it disappear.

Rocket Chat
I am not a developer, though would help if I could, and this is a bit of a newbie question. At my workplace we use all Ubuntu devices for everyone, give or take, and a few use UT phones. Our main system runs on egroupware and the latest version uses rocket chat. Anyone know if there are plans to make an app for this or what it would take? Would this be an Anbox job?

RE: SIM card not being read
@advocatux I hadn't, but it has just been triggered. Seems fine now
