RE: How long will Ubuntu Touch work on the Fairphone 5?
@Keneda Thanks for the info. I was unaware that 24.04 could be used on the FP3. It seems the older versions of UT were no longer upgradable on the FP3.

How long will Ubuntu Touch work on the Fairphone 5?
Hi.
I still have my now aged Fairphone 3 and for a while, UT cannot be upgraded to the next version. I'm considering buying a FF5 and know it's been out for a little over 2 years, so I'm wondering how long will I be able to use UT on it?
Thanks.

@Opolork More old but less expensive, dual boot on Volla 22.
Thank you. I'll weight my options.

RE: Where can i highlight spelling errors on app pages on the OpenStore website?
Hi @wally. It's not a big thing but I think it does look a bit amateurish to make basic mistakes like that. It may also turn some folk away. They may think [likely wrongly] that if the dev[s] can't get the spelling right then how can they make an app that's done properly.

The 2 web pages are, and the 2 spelling mistakes:
https://open-store.io/app/myfinance.alaskalinuxuser
finanace –> financehttps://open-store.io/app/trolly.alaskalinuxuser
shoping –> shoppingIf anyone can contact Weston Howard and tell him, I'd appreciate it.
This may help: https://gitlab.com/alaskalinuxuser

RE: Call for testing: Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0
I want to give a big thanks to all those that make Ubuntu Touch possible.

@wgarcia Hi. Thanks. BTW, on that Gitlab page, it says 'This project is archived. Its data is read-only.'. So perhaps that's no longer an option to contact them by?

Hi. i don't see anywhere to do this on https://open-store.io. Thanks.

Hi @Moem. From what I've seen, Waydroid seems very haphazard still. Yes, the other option seems the better choice for now. Thank you.

Is there an easy way to dual boot Android and Ubuntu Touch?
Hi.
I would only want to use Android for specific reasons [banking apps are the only things that come to mind]. For 99% of things I'd use UT. Are there potential issues with this setup?
Or am I best to just get some cheap Android phone and just use that for those specific cases mentioned earlier?
Thanks.

RE: What are a few straightforward ways to write notes in Ubuntu Touch and be able to get them on the Internet/WWW on my Debian PC?
Hi @Rondarius. Thanks, but that's overkill for my use case.

Hi @amazones. Thanks but Emacs is not my cup of tea.

My preferred method is when out and about, to open a draft email on whatever email client/web interface on my UT smartphone I use and add to it but not send it. Then later when I open my emails on my home PC, the notes are there.

Hi @Ian. That's certainly the simplest method so far. Perhaps I could even just put it in a draft email in UT and not even have to send it and still see it later when I check my PC at home.

This part is easy, setting up a Nextcloud server is not.
Hi @wgarcia Alas, that's a dealbreaker.

Hi.
Quick and easy ways, please. It would basically be an alternative to having a physical notepad and pen with me.
Thanks.
