I am thinking in using UT on a FP5, notably because UT offers to run Python code, and I can code in Python, whereas I cannot implement Android apps with Kotlin by myself
However, I could not leave my e/OS Android FP5 because yet, because I need some Android Apps

I was thinking in the feasability to implement an app or run code in background on UT, that would transfers SMS automatically from UT to a Android phone

I asked to Mistral and Claude if it would be possible and they pointed out that apps are sandboxed, and only the native message apps can access and send SMS

Here is my question : how to learn what is feasible or not when programming on UT ?

Actually, I am a very infrequent phone user. My main point is privacy, notably avoiding tracking.
What make me hesitate is :

1. On UT, there are probably no tracker at all in the OS, but maybe some in the (web) apps. And there are still some when browsing the web

2. On DeGoogled OS, there may be links with Google Servers (but I think spoofing the identity with microG), but some systems may block a list of trackers at DNS level, and some VPN (suited to Android but not UT) can block even more trackers

Which side is the balance tipping toward ?

I am gonna to install Ubuntu Touch, with Waydroid for apps that are not available on Ubuntu Touch yet
It seems that the webpage on waydroid on UT is not up to date (it refers to Amazon play store, that is no longer maintained)

I would like to ask :

1. Waydroid offers to be signed, and then to use Google Play Store/services
   But I am mainly interested in UT for privacy. If I use Google Services on waydroid, does it access to my data like a ordinary Android ?

2. If I don't use Play Store, does "waydroid upgrade" update the apps ?

If they are on FP4, they are probably too on FP5 ? And what about FP6 (that is not mentionned on the Ubuntu Touch Website)
