@gauge hi, no there isn't such a list but maybe it would be a good idea to set one with all the core + app developers and the way to sponsor them. There are individual developers pages though. About the SDK, Rodney is working on that precisely No, there isn't any problem for us using the word 'ubuntu', we have the permission from Canonical to use it. If you have more questions or want to get an answer directly from the top, this Saturday is going to be a Q&A. You can ask here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1769/q-a-38-this-saturday-13-10-18-at-19-00-utc

@dobey I have had transmission installed in Libertine and ran only the backend there. I think from terminal. Transmission offers a webinterface, so I could just go to http://localhost:SOMEPORTNUMBER and that gave me a reasonable touch interface (website). I had no lifecycle problems that way, I think Libertine processes are not restricted that way. It's been a long time since I did that, but I don't think any of the relevant technology has changed.

@lakotaubp Thanks for that. I have had a look and I like the "Fixed a bug that prohibited a lot of users to sign in the first time or at all - Hello Australia!" point at the bottom of the list. I remember talking to @Flohack about this in some detail. I think I will have to get this one downloaded.

@dobey said in Rotation lock for specific apps: As dialer-app already [...] specifies only portrait as supported orientation in the .desktop file It doesn't specify that as far as I can tell .... It rotates for me and I consider that a feature

@mardy No, I would say that is a misunderstanding of the situation. If you uninstall LibreOffice, should Ubuntu delete all the documents created with it from your hard drive? If you remove VSCode, should all the code you wrote also be deleted? Of course not. The only way it would be acceptable to delete such data when uninstalling, is if the user could be made fully and cogently aware of exactly what data may be deleted, and give them an option to preserve said data without forcing them to keep the app as well. Only after some large improvements to how we handle data and config storage, should this be considered, I think.

Concerning purism, I think they go beyond what I expect in terms of freedom. This post shows it: https://puri.sm/posts/librem5-solving-the-first-fsf-ryf-hurdle/ Not sure why replicant guys are mad. But on a fully free software phone I would definitely not like replicant, I want a real Gnu/Linux! Also they are reproaching Intel's management engine in purism's laptop, saying it would be impossible to disable, but they actually succeed in disabling it: https://puri.sm/posts/purism-librem-laptops-completely-disable-intel-management-engine/ I recently learned about this project which seems very interesting, and allows clear control about non-free software and firmware installed. Could be usefull for a web consultation device on N900 or Sony Xperia Z2: http://postmarketos.org/ https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Devices I don't know if unity/ubuntu touch could be ported on it at some point.
